Story
This is our sweet girl Stella. We call her StellaBaby. My husband and I have had Stella since she was 5 weeks old. She is a very sweet girl, and loves cuddles. We are sadly having to re-home her due to our busy schedules that prevent us from giving her the life she deserves. Stella is energetic, and does have some anxiety. She struggles on the leash, due to anxiety so will need someone patient to work with her. Stella was raised with an older German shepherd, a small dachshund, and cats so she does really well with other animals. She is a little wary of children due to anxiety, though she has a great relationship with our godsons who are small. She really just needs someone who can take the time with her to meet her energy needs and who will be patient with her anxiety. She is healthy, playful, and very smart. She does a lot of tricks and is crate trained. We are heart broken to have to re-home her, but we want her to have the life she deserves and we know it’s not with us.

Story
Meet Kobo! 🐾 Kobo is a 67-pound Australian Shepherd mix (breed is a best guess based on appearance and not guaranteed) with a happy-go-lucky personality and a zest for life! This handsome boy is on the lookout for a new home where he can stretch his legs, enjoy daily adventures, and be part of an active family. Kobo loves running around the yard, going for walks, and meeting new people. He brings an upbeat energy wherever he goes and is always ready for the next outing. He is strong on leash and will benefit from continued basic obedience training to help him channel his enthusiasm into great manners. With consistency and positive reinforcement, Kobo has all the potential to become a wonderful, well-rounded companion. Kobo prefers to have his space respected and would do best in a home without young children. Shelter staff is still getting to know him, but he’s already shown that he enjoys human interaction and staying active. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic dog to join you on life’s adventures, Kobo might be your perfect match. Kobo is available for adoption at Butte Humane Society — come meet him and see if he’s the one for you! 🐶 Special Needs Older Children All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses. Story
Cooper is a 5-month-old puppy currently at the Butte Humane Society and looking for his forever home. He weighs about 26 lbs. and has the most striking blue eyes paired with a beautiful brown and black brindle coat with white markings. We believe Cooper may be an Australian Shepherd mix, but this is just our best guess and may not be completely accurate. Cooper is still a young puppy who is learning about the world. He is not yet potty trained or kennel trained, so he’ll need a patient adopter who is ready to help him learn the basics. With consistency, love, and positive training, he has all the potential to grow into an amazing companion. He’s a beautiful boy with lots of personality and playful puppy energy. Cooper would do great with a family ready to give him attention, guidance, and plenty of playtime as he grows. 💙 All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses.
