America is a beautiful Aussie mix that loves to be loved. She gets so excited to go on walks and does very well on a leash. She is not a barley dog but will let you know if someone or something is close by the house. America enjoys playing with toys, we are working on fetch. The perfect day for her would be a long walk in the morning, food and water available throughout the day, time being close to her humans, two more walks (at least) and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of belly rubs!! 40lbs - DOB 2/2025 Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. She is amazing and beautiful. She loves everyone and everything. She is needy for cuddles and kisses. She will also try to eat anything and everything which can be stressful at times. She needs someone who can give her more time outside and let more energy out. She deserves that. We love her to pieces but cannot give her the life she needs. I am also allergic and it is becoming a health issue for me.

The more time Crystal spends in her foster home, the more we learn about this quirky little girl and what her perfect forever home will look like! 😂❤️ Crystal is currently around 17½ lbs and gaining back the weight she lost. She's still a very picky eater, but she's eating a healthy diet of dry food with homemade fresh farm turkey and meal toppers. And when it comes to treats... apparently freeze-dried beef liver is the only acceptable option. 😂 Her personality is really starting to shine! Crystal has a moderate activity level, loves to swim, plays tug with rope toys, nuzzles her stuffed lamb, and enjoys playing with her foster doggy siblings. Toys are no longer an issue for her at all! 👏 She has a silky, medium-length coat and has been shedding very little in her foster home. Crystal is also a smart girl! 🧠 She knows sit, stay, down, and "go to bed," is working on paw, and is learning to wait at the door before going outside. Potty training is still a work in progress... apparently going outside and then pooping in foster mom's office 30 minutes later seemed like a perfectly reasonable decision to Crystal. 🤦‍♀️😂 She does great when adult visitors come into the home! Her foster family simply asks everyone to ignore her and allow her to approach on her own terms. No barking or drama—she settles in beautifully. ❤️ After spending more time observing Crystal around children, we have decided that an adult-only home will be best for her. She is still learning boundaries and building confidence, and we want to set both Crystal and her future family up for success. Crystal is dog friendly, not cat friendly, and not suited for a home with livestock. She is still working on food resource guarding, but her foster family continues to work with her using positive reinforcement and management. And we can't forget Crystal's strangest new hobby... 😂 She sometimes runs up, wraps BOTH front paws around your leg, and lets her back end drag while you walk! Apparently Crystal thinks she's a cat. 🤷‍♀️🐈😂 For that reason, she needs a family steady on their feet who can handle her goofy antics! Crystal has come SO FAR, and every day we're learning more about the smart, playful, affectionate, and slightly weird little dog hiding underneath all that fear. 🩷 She's not the right dog for every home—but we know her perfect person is out there. 🐾 Crystal is available for adoption!
