Sami is a 4 year old beagle mix that weighs about 55 pounds. She has been with dogs and cats in her foster home and does well around both. She has lots of energy and is ready to play, but does have fear-based anxiety. Daily medication is required to keep it under control. As are all EARS dogs, Sami is spayed and microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is on monthly preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.If interested in welcoming Sami into your family, please submit an adoption application via our website, www.effinghamanimalrescue.com.

Hi, my name is Moana and I'm about 11 months old.  I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society from a shelter in KY.  I was originally brought in as a stray to the shelter in KY and had been there for several months.  When I arrived at BCHS I was so timid I just sat in the corner.  Day by day I became more relaxed and now I come to greet people with my tail wagging.  I have a silly quirk about eating my food.  I lay down with a front leg on each side of the bowl and eat my food.  If someone approaches I get up and move away from the food.  I like the security of being with someone when I'm outside.  I frequently look for reassurance that my walker is still with me.  I am skittish in new places and around new people.  I need someone who will be patient with me and help me build my confidence.   I am gentle and like being petted.  I am crate trained and probably house trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $250.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.March 6, 2026, 6:46 pm

Roscoe is just an absolutely outstanding boy. He makes no mess in his kennel and is very gentle and well mannered on leash. We have paired Roscoe with various other dogs and he is always tolerant and playful. Please come down to Macoupin County Animal Control and view Roscoe for adoption. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12.
