Story
Handsome Biscuit came from a tough situation. He and his siblings spent their whole lives in an outdoor pen on a reservation. But this sweet Australian shepherd mix has started a happy life and hasn’t looked back. He loves to play, thinks all toys are fantastic and will romp around with his canine buddies. But really, snuggling and cuddling are where it’s at. Biscuit is about 8 months old. He is potty trained, sleeps in his crate all night, and is trustworthy hanging out in the house. He’s doing very well on the leash, even though he’s nervous about new things. His bravery grows by leaps and bounds every single day. Biscuit is athletic and a quick learner. He would probably love agility where he could show off his speed and smarts. He’d prefer a home with a fenced-in yard so he could zoom around safely. Extra points to someone with herding dog experience who is around much of the day. He’d be fine without another dog, but a friendly buddy could help him learn and build more confidence. Biscuit is the sweetest boy. His favorite times of the day are whenever he sees his human. He runs right into his person, jumps into their arms, snuggles them hard, and smothers them in kisses. Biscuit is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##2593836##

Story
We’re not sure about Veronica’s backstory, but we know that she’s likely been through a lot. It seems as if someone wasn’t always very nice to her because she shuts down in some situations. But she does want to be right with her person, following closely on their heels. We think Veronica is about 6 years old. She is a gorgeous Australian shepherd with a gentle personality. While she is recovering from heartworm treatment, she still has energy and wants to play. She is fantastic with other dogs and great with kids. She is happy to be with everyone. Veronica is deaf and has limited vision. She’s very smart and has learned several touch commands including “good girl” and “come.” She is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is housebroken. She sleeps nicely in her pen overnight. Veronica would do best in a home with a friendly dog to help give her confidence. She does not like being left alone for very long, so she’d love someone who is home most of the day. She’d love an active person because she loves to explore and go on adventures. She’d prefer a physical, fenced yard to keep her safe. This sweet, beautiful Aussie is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2378212##

Story
Sweet senior Stevie is a handsome guy who loves taking walks, wandering around his yard, and hanging out with his human. Just about 10 years old, Stevie is likely an Australian shepherd mix. He's pretty low energy in the house. He gets really excited when it’s time to go for a walk and he jumps up and down at dinner time. Stevie likes to lie at the top of the porch steps and just watch what’s going on in the yard. He comes in when called, especially if there’s a snack involved. He knows “out” and “eat” and is working on “place” and “touch.” Stevie has excellent house manners. He’s potty trained and has never had an accident. He doesn’t chew or get into things. Stevie gets along well with calm, respectful dogs. He’s been good with the kids he’s met when he’s been out and about. He’d love a home where someone isn’t gone all day. He’d really enjoy a fenced yard because he sure loves to spend time outside, just soaking in the sunshine. Stevie is a little shy at first, but comes out of his shell as he gets to know you. This sweet boy is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2527563##
