Scoob is a 8-month-old Aussie mix who is absolutely thriving in his foster home and showing just how special of a pup he is. You can tell his previous family put time and love into him, and in the last week especially, Scoob has really polished up his manners and confidence. He’s fully house trained with zero accidents, knows sit, leave it, and lay down, and is eager to respond to guidance. Scoob was a bit mouthy when he first arrived, but that behavior has nearly disappeared. If he does get playful and forget himself, he responds immediately to a simple “no mouth” and often opts for snuggles instead. He also redirects beautifully to an antler when he’s feeling extra playful. Scoob enjoys having freedom in the home and does great being left out at night, happily snoozing on the couch without getting into trouble. While he prefers not to be crated when people are home, he does excellent in a crate when left alone—going right in, settling with his antler, and not making a peep. Personality-wise, Scoob is a perfect blend of independent and cuddly. He’s happy to entertain himself, but don’t be surprised if he suddenly decides he’s a lap dog and needs to be right next to you. He loves running in the yard, going for walks, chewing on a good bone, and playing with toys (with the occasional stuffed dinosaur casualty—purely accidental, of course). Scoob does well with other large dogs and would love a playful canine companion. Due to his prey drive, a home without cats or small animals is recommended. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he’s best suited for a home with older children. A securely fenced yard is ideal, as Scoob loves outdoor play and prefers not to potty on a leash or tie-out. Still very much a puppy, Scoob will continue to benefit from consistent training, structure, and an active lifestyle. In return, he offers loyalty, affection, and a whole lot of joy.
