You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Are you ready to go on a Journey with Journi?  At just around 6 months old, this little girl is ready to grow and go on to live a long and happy life with you! And just like the band, the “Girl Can’t Help It” she wants some “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’ ”! “Don’t Stop Believing”…in training! This pup is super smart and will be a star pupil in training or even agility classes!  “Any Way You Want It” Journi is ready to bring some adventure to your life! Journi will need to go “Separate Ways” with cats, she isn’t a match with them unfortunately. As for dogs, she’ll need a laid back dog who will welcome her with “Open Arms”.    Journi’s adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus a free training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their animals altered, kept current on all vaccines and preventatives and kept as indoor pets only. Pepper is eagerly looking for her forever home! This lovable 2-year-old sweetheart weighs 53 pounds and is a delightful mix, likely a combination of Husky and Australian Shepherd. With a coat as soft as a bunny, she adores belly rubs and cuddling with everyone in her foster home. Pepper enjoys chewing on her bones and occasionally barks, though she’s not as chatty as a typical Husky. She loves spending time outdoors, happily watching birds and squirrels from her yard. While she gets along well with other dogs, she would also thrive as the only dog in the household. To keep her safe and happy, Pepper requires a physically fenced yard where she can run and play freely. Rescued as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in Missouri, Pepper arrived with a lump on her throat. A veterinary visit revealed a damaged salivary gland that needed attention. After undergoing surgery at Iowa State University Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center, she’s on the mend. She also tested positive for Lyme disease but has since received treatment and is ready to find her new family. If you’re looking for a playful and affectionate companion, Pepper might just be the perfect addition to your life! Pepper is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Martin boy! At about 5 months old, 15 pounds, and he is EVERYTHING you'd want your gorgeous pup to be, adorable, clearly! But he's smart, happy-go-lucky, sweet as can be, and truly as jolly as can be! Plus, look at his goofy expressions, and big brown eyes!? Martin has done WONDERFULLY with other dogs, kids, and doesn't seem to pay any mind to cats. He tends to be in his own little world, only thinking of his happiness around people he adores; and all the cuddles in the world! But seriously, watching him bounce around and play is my favorite part; his furry ears just bounces right along with him, it is ADORABLE. You can ALWAYS expect him to come greet you excitedly, full of glee, and a wiggly butt. Just as we figure he would when his owner gets back from work! Martin's not JUST adorable, sweet, cute, funny, and smart. Learning new tricks has been his favorite activity, other than cuddling up on the sofa! With Martin's amazing, gentle, puppy-like demeanor, we know he will do amazingly in just about any home willing to fulfill him, and enrich his life with the love, learning, and luxury of being a family dood!

Maggie is a mini Australia Shepard she was my nephews dog that I’ve been caring for since April. I work really long hours and I don’t have enough time for her. She loves belly rubs and is a very good dog. She does have an auto-immune disorder MMM where it affects the muscles in her face/mouth. She hasn’t had a flare up for over a year. The vets put her on prednisone when needed.
