Story
Mazee is a 1 year old Australian shepherd mix. I've had her since she was 5 weeks old. Up until recently she was fine around other animals. We had left chicken bones in the trash along with another dog in the home and they starting fighting. Since then she has been kennel bound and thats not fair to her. Shes such a good dog but given the situation right now its not fair to her and it would be selfish of me to not rehome her to someone who can give her the best life and a back yard to run. She loves to run and play ball. She entertains herself but she loves attention and hugs.

Story
We adopted Leena from the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in September 2025. She was shy at first but very sweet and friendly. Over the weeks her personality unfolded into a highly energetic and fun-loving dog with lots of puppy still left in her. She is two years old. She loves cuddling and playing, and is very smart and high-energy. While she has learned some commands, she would benefit from further training. She likes walks but will tug on the leash. She is crate trained. She is nervous around new people and new places but will warm up with time and treats. She has never been aggressive. She is gets along very well with my kids (0, 4, and 6) and our cat. She has a sensitive stomach and has contracted pancreatitis a few times, so she needs stable and healthy meals. She has no ongoing medical needs. Leena will need an adopter who has the time, energy, and space (farm land, fenced-in yard, etc.) to help her reach her potential. We will supply any leftover food, treats, toys, and crate.

Story
Sasha: Small Circle, Big Heart 🐾💙 Hi, I’m Sasha—a 16-month-old, 26-pound Miniature Australian Shepherd with a thoughtful soul and a story that started a little too fast. I was taken from my mom and littermates at just 6 weeks old, which is much earlier than it should have been. I found myself in a very overwhelming home with 19 other dogs, and I struggled. My previous owner brought me to a vet clinic to be euthanized—but thankfully, the veterinarians stepped in and gave me a second chance. That’s how I made my way into rescue and into a foster home where I’ve been able to start over. What I’ve learned about myself is this: I don’t need a big, busy world. I just need my person. I like to keep my circle small. New people make me nervous, and I need time and patience to warm up. But once I trust you, I’m incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving. I enjoy attention from the people I feel safe with, and at night, I happily curl up in bed with my foster mom—it’s my favorite place to be. Because of my past, I need to be the only animal in the home. I am housetrained and don’t need to be kenneled. I do best in an environment where I feel secure and respected. A physically fenced yard is required so I can safely enjoy the outdoors without added stress. The good news? I’m a smart girl. I already know how to sit, shake, and lay down, and I’m very food motivated—which means I enjoy learning and will do well with continued, positive training. Sasha isn’t the kind of dog who will greet the world with open arms—but she will give her whole heart to the right person. She needs someone patient, understanding, and willing to let her move at her own pace. In return, she’ll be a deeply devoted companion who chooses you, every single day. If you believe that trust is something earned and treasured, Sasha just might be your girl. Sasha is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Sasha, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Sasha you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300
