Meet Joey, an 18 week old, 30 pound Australian Shepherd mix who is discovering the world one joyful moment at a time. Joey is a playful, curious puppy who approaches life with bright eyes and a wagging tail. He’s in that wonderful stage where everything is new and exciting, and he’s eager to learn with guidance from his people. Like most pups his age, Joey has perfected the art of balance. One minute he’s zooming around with toys or dog friends, the next he’s curled up for a good snuggle. Joey does well with other dogs and kids, making him a great fit for an active, family-oriented home. He is doing great at house training, though he’s still a puppy and will need more frequent potty breaks than an adult dog as he continues to grow and mature. Because Joey loves to run, play, and burn off his puppy energy safely, a physically fenced yard is required for his forever home. Joey is looking for a family ready to help him learn, play, and grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. In return, he’ll bring laughter, affection, and that special puppy joy that fills a home with life. Joey is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
Asparagus, or Gus for short, is a 3-year-old male Australian Shepherd/Collie mix with a heart as big as his personality. Known as our little one-eyed wonder, Gus was born missing his right eye—but don’t let that fool you. It doesn’t slow him down or affect his quality of life one bit! Gus came into our care through no fault of his own and was quite shy at first, but he has truly blossomed. Once he knows he’s safe, his sweet, gentle nature shines through. He absolutely loves people and attention and wants nothing more than to be wherever his humans are. If he can, he’ll happily climb into your lap; if not, he’ll settle right at your feet until you move—at which point he’ll be right there beside you again. He’s wonderfully in tune with his surroundings: when you’re active, Gus is ready to go, and when it’s time to relax, he’s content to lounge with you. He enjoys chewing on bones, plays well with other dogs once he’s comfortable, and gets along nicely with dogs of all sizes. He’s currently a bit afraid of cats, which leads us to believe he’d likely do just fine coexisting with one. Gus also does well with kids. This handsome boy is fully potty-trained and crate-trained and would thrive in just about any home looking to welcome a loyal, loving companion. If you’re searching for a beautiful, sweet soul who will stick by your side through it all, Gus might just be your perfect match.
