Story
Mara is a happy, energetic girl who is always ready for her next adventure. With her striking heterochromia and bright, curious personality, she turns heads everywhere she goes. She approaches life with excitement and loves having the freedom to run, explore, and see what the day has in store. This playful girl thrives on activity and would love a family that enjoys spending time outdoors. She loves to chase toys and has a blast running after them, although she's still deciding whether bringing them back is part of the game! While she's always up for playtime, she's equally happy to pause for a few pets before heading back out to continue her adventures. Mara keeps her kennel clean and would do best in an active home that can provide plenty of daily exercise, enrichment, and a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs. She has not yet been formally dog tested, so any introductions to other dogs should be done thoughtfully. Based on her personality, she may be selective about her canine companions, so slow, positive introductions will help set her up for success. With her beautiful mismatched eyes, playful spirit, and adventurous personality, Mara is ready to find a family that can match her enthusiasm for life. If you're looking for an active companion who will happily join you on hikes, walks, and outdoor adventures before settling in for a few well-earned pets, Mara could be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Ozzy is a confident, adventurous boy with a goofy streak that keeps life entertaining. This handsome guy loves being out and about, exploring the world around him and keeping an eye on everything going on. He’s intelligent, curious, and independent, but he also has a sweet and gentle side that shines through once he gets comfortable with his people. Ozzy already knows “sit,” takes treats nicely, and enjoys going for walks, though he could still use some continued leash work as he learns better manners and focus. He’s an energetic dog who will thrive with daily exercise, structure, and routine to help him be his best self. Ozzy especially enjoys squeaky toys and would love an active home where he can stay mentally and physically engaged. Ozzy can be selective with other dogs and seems to do better with neutered males than females. He also appears to have a prey drive and enjoys chasing birds, so a secure fenced yard and careful introductions to other animals will be important. Because of his confidence level and personality, an experienced owner who understands boundaries, consistency, and continued training would help him succeed. He has kept his kennel clean and has done well with children ages 7 and older. With his goofy personality, alert expression, and adorable mix of floppy and pointy ears, Ozzy is full of character and charm. For the right person, he’ll make a loyal, fun-loving companion who is always ready for the next adventure.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bow! Bow is a fluffy little Aussie/Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, equally happy chasing a ball or curling up beside you on the couch for snuggles. Bow is fully house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows several basic commands including sit, wait and down. He absolutely loves playing fetch and never says no to a car ride, making him a great adventure buddy. He's good with other dogs but tends to do his own thing rather than looking for canine playmates. He's also cat-friendly! Around people, Bow is incredibly affectionate and loves spending time with his favorite adults. Bow does have one important quirk: he resource guards food and bones, so he'll do best with a family that understands and can manage that behavior appropriately. He also has a loud bark (and occasionally lets out a dramatic "scream"), so he likely isn't the best fit for apartment living. Because we don't know how Bow does with children, a home with older kids or adults would be the safest match until more is known. If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves adventures, fetch, and cozy couch cuddles, Bow might just be your perfect match! How’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and heartworm testing. If you would like to meet Bow, please submit an adoption application through our website: Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having g kept other animals as indoor pets, altered and kept current on annual vet care and all vaccines. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2026, 11:47 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Looking for a pup who's a full meal deal? Meet Quarter Pounder, or QP for short! This lovable guy is packed with personality, extra sweetness, and a side of puppy fun.  QP is an incredibly sweet, playful pup with a personality as big as his heart! This curious guy loves to explore the world around him and is always ready for his next adventure. His favorite thing is making new puppy friends and he is always ready for a play session. He is however terrified of cats and would prefer a home without any. While he enjoys treats, his true favorite is a good plush toy. He's also a smart cookie—he learned "sit" very quickly and is eager to keep learning with positive reinforcement. He greets everyone with a happy tail wag and has the funniest little habit of carrying things wherever he goes. Sticks? Yep. Toys? Absolutely. His own leash? Of course! If he can pick it up, he'll proudly parade around with it. He even tries to walk himself sometimes! QP rides wonderfully in the car, making him the perfect copilot for errands or adventures. As a young puppy, he's still working on potty training, so he'll need a patient family ready to help him learn and grow. QP's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. QP is seeking an indoor only home with adopters who have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. If you would like to meet QP, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2026, 11:47 am
