Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To put it simply, Zip is joy wearing canine clothing. He is the happiest, bounciest dog and doesn’t let anything stop him! He is probably around 6 months old and is could be a Bernese Mountain Dog mixed with something, possibly Border Collie. He will likely be a large adult and could be money well spent on a doggie DNA test!    Zip has only a very vague concept of personal space, and while he isn’t concerned with his lack of knowledge, anyone with a lap should be prepared for it to be occupied. He is highly food motivated, so training should be a breeze!   Zip enjoys following you around the house, belly rubs, and stealing your bath mat. He especially likes balls and will happily play fetch with himself. He is mostly house trained with a dog door, is good in the crate, and while he does have some separation anxiety, it may go away once he feels comfortable and secure in his new home.   If you’re looking for a big, social, goofy, doofus of a dog to hang out with, come meet Zip, he loves to make new friends!   Zip's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and preventatives.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of keeping previous pets; altered, kept current on vaccines/annual vet care and as indoor pets.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application at AdoptHope.org if you would like to meet Zip!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 3, 2026, 4:40 pm

Story
Jethro is a fun-loving, goofy boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This happy pup is always ready for the next adventure, whether that means a game of fetch, carrying his favorite toy around proudly, or bouncing around with excitement to greet his people. He’s playful, affectionate, social, and full of life, making him the kind of dog who brings energy and laughter wherever he goes. Jethro absolutely loves being around people and thrives on companionship. He’s confident, friendly, and gentle, with a cuddly side that enjoys curling up close after playtime is over. He gets along well with other dogs, has done well with kids ages 7 and older, and would likely fit into many different types of active homes. He also keeps his kennel clean and walks nicely on a leash. This energetic boy enjoys stuffies, squeaky toys, tug games, and just about anything that keeps him engaged and having fun. Like many excited young dogs, Jethro can sometimes forget his manners or get a little mouthy when he’s overly excited, but it comes from enthusiasm and playfulness rather than anything negative. With continued structure, exercise, and positive guidance, he’ll continue growing into an amazing companion. With his long legs, unique coat, and constant big tail wags, Jethro is impossible not to adore. He would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful spirit while also giving him plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous best friend who can make you laugh one minute and cuddle up beside you the next, Jethro may be the perfect fit.

Story
Ozzy is a confident, adventurous boy with a goofy streak that keeps life entertaining. This handsome guy loves being out and about, exploring the world around him and keeping an eye on everything going on. He’s intelligent, curious, and independent, but he also has a sweet and gentle side that shines through once he gets comfortable with his people. Ozzy already knows “sit,” takes treats nicely, and enjoys going for walks, though he could still use some continued leash work as he learns better manners and focus. He’s an energetic dog who will thrive with daily exercise, structure, and routine to help him be his best self. Ozzy especially enjoys squeaky toys and would love an active home where he can stay mentally and physically engaged. Ozzy can be selective with other dogs and seems to do better with neutered males than females. He also appears to have a prey drive and enjoys chasing birds, so a secure fenced yard and careful introductions to other animals will be important. Because of his confidence level and personality, an experienced owner who understands boundaries, consistency, and continued training would help him succeed. He has kept his kennel clean and has done well with children ages 7 and older. With his goofy personality, alert expression, and adorable mix of floppy and pointy ears, Ozzy is full of character and charm. For the right person, he’ll make a loyal, fun-loving companion who is always ready for the next adventure.
