Story
Just like the game, Scrabble is all about connection — he just needs a few letters (and a little love) to spell out his full potential. This 4-month-old Border Collie mix is wrapped in a sleek black coat with soft, medium-length fur, and his innocent, kind eyes will score big points with your heart. At first introduction, Scrabble might play a quiet hand. He’s a bit timid when meeting new people — you can see he wants affection, he just hasn’t quite learned the definition yet. Give him a moment to feel safe, and suddenly all the right words fall into place. His highest-scoring move? SNUGGLE. That’s the way to win his heart. He adores curling up in your lap for nap time or settling beside you for gentle pets. Once he trusts you, Scrabble becomes a total “velcro” pup — sticking by your side like the perfect seven-letter bonus word. You won’t just gain a dog; you’ll gain a lifelong teammate. When it’s playtime, Scrabble can be delightfully goofy. He’s still growing into his body, so his zoomies and puppy antics are adorably uncoordinated — think mixed-up tiles in the best possible way. He does well with other dogs, enjoys playing when the mood strikes, and also gets along nicely with cats and kids. He’s still working on potty-training and crate-training — not quite a triple-word score yet — but he’s getting there with practice and patience. Scrabble would do beautifully in almost any loving home looking to add a gentle, snuggly sweetheart to their family board. All he needs is someone willing to help him spell one very important word: HOME.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bear is a very handsome blue heeler, looking for an experienced dog owner to have a GREAT life with! Bear is super smart, and he loves to play with other dogs around his size. He requires a home with a playful and submissive canine companion near his size, he especially responds well to female dogs.  Bear is kennel trained as well as potty trained.  He loves to go for long walks and explore, he will make a superb companion for a very lucky owner! Bear does have stranger danger/reactive fears, he came to Last Hope very untrusting of people.  He has done great working with a firm and consistent handler, and will require this is his forever home but will likely always be initially reactive to strangers. Our volunteers have worked with him and found him to be a very friendly and affectionate dog, although he still requires slow and controlled introductions with strangers and will need an owner that appreciates his breed and unique needs. He does seem to settle faster with women.  No children, no cats and preferably a homeowner with a physical fenced in yard.  Bear's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, current vaccinations, and microchip.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, current on preventatives and vaccinations, and be altered.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and a home visit.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 12, 2025, 12:43 pm
