Story
Meet Amy 💗 Amy is one of seven puppies born around December 27th to our 37 pound Australian Shepherd mix mama, Frankie. She currently weighs about 8 pounds and is expected to grow into a lovely medium sized adult. While some of her siblings charge into life paws first, Amy prefers to take it all in from a safe little distance. She is the thoughtful one in the litter, the quiet observer who watches the action before deciding to join. New people and new situations can make her a bit shy at first, but give her a little patience and a gentle voice and you will see her soft personality begin to bloom. Once Amy feels comfortable, she enjoys playing with her littermates and will happily join in the puppy fun. She may not be the first to start the wrestling match, but she is more than happy to participate once she knows everything is safe. Amy is the kind of puppy who will build a deep bond with her person, choosing her people carefully and loving them completely. She is doing well with housetraining, but like all young puppies, she will need close supervision and frequent trips outside as she continues to learn. Consistency and encouragement will help her confidence grow right along with her good habits. Amy would prefer a physically fenced yard where she can explore at her own pace and build confidence in a secure space. A calm, patient home willing to let her warm up on her own timeline will help her truly shine. Amy is ready to meet adopters now and will be ready to move to her new home on March 7th when she is 10 weeks old. She will be spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and have received two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations. Her adopters will be responsible for her third distemper/parvo booster and her rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age. If you have a soft spot for the gentle, tender hearted pups who just need a little reassurance, Amy may be waiting just for you. To meet Amy, please fill out an adoption application at furfunrescue.org. Questions? Email Rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption fee: $300.

Story
Meet Sheldon 💙 Sheldon is one of seven puppies born around December 27th to our 37 pound Australian Shepherd mix mama, Frankie. He currently weighs about 9 pounds and is expected to grow into a handsome medium sized adult. In a litter full of enthusiasm, Sheldon is the thoughtful strategist. He is the puppy who pauses at the edge of the action, studying the situation like a tiny professor gathering data. Wrestling match? He’ll observe the technique. New toy? He’ll analyze it from a safe distance. Once he has made his assessment, he wades in with quiet confidence. Sheldon enjoys playing with his littermates and absolutely joins in the fun, he just prefers to understand the game before committing both paws. That steady, observant nature will likely grow into a loyal, deeply bonded companion who thinks first and leaps second. He is doing well with housetraining, but like all young puppies, he will need close supervision and frequent trips outside as he continues to learn. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will help him build strong habits and even stronger confidence. Sheldon would prefer a physically fenced yard where he can safely explore and build his confidence at his own pace. A home that appreciates a puppy who takes a moment to warm up and process new situations will see him truly thrive. Sheldon is ready to meet adopters now and will be ready to move to his new home on March 7th when he is 10 weeks old. He will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and have received two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations. His adopters will be responsible for his third distemper/parvo booster and his rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age. If you love the idea of a puppy who watches the world carefully before deciding it is wonderful, Sheldon may be your perfect match. To meet Sheldon, please fill out an adoption application at furfunrescue.org. Questions? Email Rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Story
Juno is a 5½-month-old male Australian Shepherd mix weighing 30 pounds. Wherever his foster mom goes, Juno follows. Juno is a friendly pup who has a playful streak and a busy brain. He’s great with other dogs and would truly thrive in a home with a dog buddy who enjoys playtime, companionship, and maybe a little mutual mischief. Having a canine friend helps bring out his confidence and keeps his tail wagging. He’s a smart young guy who enjoys learning and engaging with the world around him. A physically fenced yard is required. It’s been way to cold to go for walks so walking on a leash will be new to him. Juno is happy to play or cuddle close and recharge next to his favorite humans. Juno is already house trained and crate trained, giving him an excellent start as he continues to mature. With consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and plenty of interaction, he’s going to grow into a loyal, fun-loving companion. If you’re looking for a puppy who believes personal space is optional, loves other dogs, and would be happiest with a built-in best friend, Juno is ready to stick by your side for life. Juno is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Juno, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Juno you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Meet Jellybean! Jellybean is a 6 month old, Australian Shepherd mix. She weighs 33 pounds. We expect she’ll mature to around 40-45 pounds, a just-right, easy-to-live-with size. Jellybean is not the bold, busy, center-of-the-party type. She is the thoughtful observer. The puppy who takes a minute to read the room before stepping in . She can be shy in new situations and is more comfortable with women at first, but when she feels safe, her gentle affection starts to shine. Unlike many Australian Shepherd mixes, Jellybean is refreshingly low-key. She doesn’t need constant activity, complicated jobs, or marathon exercise sessions. A calm environment, a predictable routine, and gentle encouragement go much further with her than high-energy adventures. She is both crate trained and potty trained, and she thrives with consistency. Jellybean finds comfort in knowing what to expect. Jellybean would truly benefit from another confident dog in the home. Having a canine companion helps her build confidence and feel more at ease. She loves having a buddy to follow and learn from. She is also starting to really enjoy going on walks and getting out to explore the world a bit. With each outing, her confidence grows, and it’s wonderful to see her curiosity start to bloom. A physically fenced yard is required, not because she’s a wild runner, but because having a secure space to explore safely will help her build confidence at her own pace. Jellybean is not flashy. She is not demanding. She is simply a sweet, sensitive puppy looking for a patient home where she can feel secure and loved. With the right family and a dog friend by her side, she will grow into a deeply loyal and devoted companion. Jellybean is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Jellybean, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Jellybean you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Story
Meet Leonard 💙 Leonard is one of seven puppies born around December 27th to our 37 pound Australian Shepherd mix mama, Frankie. He currently weighs about 9 pounds and is expected to grow into a wonderful medium sized adult. Every litter has a pulse. Leonard is the steady heartbeat. While his siblings are busy inventing new wrestling moves or launching surprise pounces, Leonard is often stretched out nearby, perfectly content, taking it all in with calm curiosity. He enjoys playtime, but he does not feel the need to headline every event. He participates, then gracefully exits before things get too rowdy. Leonard has an easygoing nature that makes him wonderfully adaptable. He is happy to romp with his littermates, happy to toddle off on a little exploration, and especially happy to curl up for a nap when the excitement winds down. If puppies had personalities like music, Leonard would be a mellow acoustic playlist on a sunny afternoon. He is doing well with housetraining, but like all young puppies, he will need close supervision and frequent trips outside as he continues to learn. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he will keep building good habits. Leonard would prefer a physically fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy some relaxed puppy zooms. He will thrive in a home that appreciates his calm, steady temperament and is ready to guide him through puppyhood with patience and structure. Leonard is ready to meet adopters now and will be ready to move to his new home on March 7th when he is 10 weeks old. He will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and have received two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations. His adopters will be responsible for his third distemper/parvo booster and his rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age. If you are looking for a puppy with a gentle spirit and a laidback outlook on life, Leonard may be your perfect match. To meet Leonard, please fill out an adoption application at furfunrescue.org.
