Story
Meet Marley! Some dogs bounce into your life. Marley simply settles into your heart. At 12½ years young, Marley has perfected the art of being the kind of companion everyone hopes to find. She's affectionate without being demanding, happy to curl up beside you for a nap, and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a gentle smile. Don't let her age fool you, Marley still has plenty of life left! She easily climbs stairs, enjoys exploring the yard, and every now and then she'll surprise you with a playful game of "chase me" that reminds you there's still a puppy hiding inside that sweet face. Marley is incredibly smart and has wonderful house manners. She's fully house trained, settles nicely in the home, and quickly learns routines. She's the type of dog who makes life easier, not harder. One of Marley's greatest gifts is her easygoing personality. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, has been respectful of cats, and would thrive in a peaceful home with adults. If there are children in the home, older, respectful children would be the best fit for her. More than anything, Marley simply wants to be near her people, soaking up the love and companionship that makes a house feel like home. If you're looking for a hiking partner who needs to run five miles a day, Marley will happily cheer you on from the couch. But if you're looking for a loyal friend to keep you company while you read a book, watch a movie, garden, or enjoy a peaceful evening on the porch, Marley is your girl. Senior dogs have a special way of loving. They're grateful for every soft bed, every gentle pat, every meal, and every day they get to spend with their family. Marley is no exception. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for someone to give her the forever home she deserves. Marley is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, 4Dx tested and current on prevention. Applications to meet Marley can be submitted within her bio, here: https://www.aplanimalrescue.org/dogs

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bow! Bow is a fluffy little Aussie/Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, equally happy chasing a ball or curling up beside you on the couch for snuggles. Bow is fully house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows several basic commands including sit, wait and down. He absolutely loves playing fetch and never says no to a car ride, making him a great adventure buddy. He's good with other dogs but tends to do his own thing rather than looking for canine playmates. He's also cat-friendly! Around people, Bow is incredibly affectionate and loves spending time with his favorite adults. Bow does have one important quirk: he resource guards food and bones, so he'll do best with a family that understands and can manage that behavior appropriately. He also has a loud bark (and occasionally lets out a dramatic "scream"), so he likely isn't the best fit for apartment living. Because we don't know how Bow does with children, a home with older kids or adults would be the safest match until more is known. If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves adventures, fetch, and cozy couch cuddles, Bow might just be your perfect match! How’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and heartworm testing. If you would like to meet Bow, please submit an adoption application through our website: Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having g kept other animals as indoor pets, altered and kept current on annual vet care and all vaccines. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 31, 2026, 6:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Looking for a pup who's a full meal deal? Meet Quarter Pounder, or QP for short! This lovable guy is packed with personality, extra sweetness, and a side of puppy fun.  QP is an incredibly sweet, playful pup with a personality as big as his heart! This curious guy loves to explore the world around him and is always ready for his next adventure. His favorite thing is making new puppy friends and he is always ready for a play session. He is however terrified of cats and would prefer a home without any. While he enjoys treats, his true favorite is a good plush toy. He's also a smart cookie—he learned "sit" very quickly and is eager to keep learning with positive reinforcement. He greets everyone with a happy tail wag and has the funniest little habit of carrying things wherever he goes. Sticks? Yep. Toys? Absolutely. His own leash? Of course! If he can pick it up, he'll proudly parade around with it. He even tries to walk himself sometimes! QP rides wonderfully in the car, making him the perfect copilot for errands or adventures. As a young puppy, he's still working on potty training, so he'll need a patient family ready to help him learn and grow. QP's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. QP is seeking an indoor only home with adopters who have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. If you would like to meet QP, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 31, 2026, 6:16 pm
