Story
Bud-E is very playful and energetic per his breed. We live in town and have a good size yard for him to run and take him on daily walks/runs to help get his energy out. He's 3.5 years old and a full bread Australian shepherd. We bought him from a breeder, I still have a picture of his parents too. His rabies expires next year but he needs the other yearly shots due May 2026. He's not very good with little kids or babies, he's nice most of the time but can be rough with them as well. This is the main reason for rehoming him, as we have a one year old thats he's been rough with a couple times now (and some other littles too). He does really well with teens and adults. He does really well with other animals too. We all love him so much and this is a hard decision for us. He's such a great and loving dog and I hope we can find him a home he fits into best!

Story
Meet Jellybean, a 9 month old, Australian Shepherd mix. This happy girl weighs 45 pounds, a just-right, easy-to-live-with size. Jellybean enjoys playing with other dogs and loves to wrestle and play chasing games with the resident dog in her foster home. She enjoys going for neighborhood walks and playing fetch in the yard. Jellybean chooses her people carefully. She is shy in new situations and is more comfortable with women at first, but when she feels safe, her gentle affection and playful nature start to shine. Unlike many Australian Shepherd mixes, Jellybean is refreshingly low-key. She doesn’t need constant activity, complicated jobs, or marathon exercise sessions. A calm home, a steady routine, and a little encouragement go much further with her than high-energy adventures. Jellybean would thrive with another playful dog in her home. A confident canine friend gives her reassurance and helps her navigate the world with more courage. She would love a buddy to follow, play with, learn from, and quietly snuggle beside. A physically fenced yard is required, not because she’s a wild runner, but because having a secure space to explore safely will help her build confidence at her own pace. Jellybean is a sweet, sensitive puppy looking for a patient home where she can feel secure and loved. With the right family and a dog friend by her side, she will grow into a deeply loyal and devoted companion. Jellybean is both crate trained and potty trained. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Jellybean, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Jellybean you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Hazel is a 4-month-old Australian Shepherd puppy weighing about 18 pounds. She was found as a stray, and sadly, nobody ever came looking for her. Now she is safe in a foster home where she no longer has to worry about finding her next meal, and she seems very happy about that arrangement. Hazel loves people and is a wonderful cuddle buddy. She also enjoys playing with other dogs and carrying toys around the house. Like most young puppies, she has her playful moments and enjoys stretching her legs with a few zoomies, so a physically fenced yard is required for her safety. She is doing very well with house training, but she is still a young puppy and will need frequent potty breaks and continued guidance as she grows. Hazel is a sweet, affectionate puppy who is settling nicely into home life and learning that people can be kind, couches are comfortable, and food arrives on a schedule. If you are looking for a loving companion with soft eyes, a gentle personality, and plenty of cuddles to give, Hazel may be the perfect fit for your family. Hazel is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Hazel, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Hazel you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Bethany is a 4.5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix with a bright mind and an even brighter personality. True to her herding breed roots, she’s incredibly intelligent, active, and always ready for her next adventure. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or learning something new, Bethany thrives when she has both mental and physical stimulation. She’s a gentle and affectionate girl who loves people and isn’t shy about making new friends—strangers included! Bethany gets along well with both small and large dogs and does well with older kids, making her a great addition to many families. She’s also a fantastic travel buddy who doesn’t mind car rides at all. Bethany is both potty-trained and crate-trained, with good house manners—she doesn’t dig and generally knows how to behave indoors. That said, she prefers not to be left in her crate for long periods and would do best in a home where she can be part of the daily action. She’s currently working on her leash skills, as she can pull and gets distracted by things like bikes or skateboards, so continued training will help her shine even more. She’s alert and will bark when someone is at the door—and sometimes more than necessary—so she may need guidance to manage her vocal tendencies. Bethany also has a more dominant personality and would benefit from a confident, experienced owner who can provide structure and consistency. Because of her strong instincts, Bethany is not a good fit for a home with small animals. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and loving companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with fun, Bethany might just be your perfect match!
