Story
This is Mazy. Shes a 5 year old Australian Shepard. She came from a local shelter and we took her in to foster or adopt. She is ready for a forever home. Shes a typical herding dog so she needs someone who understands the breed. Mazy needs walks everyday and ample play time. She is super sweet and does well around older kids (our kids are 6 and 9) cats, other dogs. She will be nervous at first but thats because shes very smart. It didnt take much time at all for her to warm up to us. She loves treats!!! She loves cuddles on the couch. We have been working with her and the mouthy excitement behavior. Keeping toys by the door seemed to do the trick. I hope you have room for her in your family.

Story
It breaks my heart to do this. We took Ozzy in from a home where he was in his crate a lot. He met our dogs and everything was fine and we thought it was just a too much energy problem. But he has now become very protective of me and my son as a result aggressive towards our other dogs. My son is 3.5 and he’s really good with him just has a lot of energy. He is super smart and knows a lot of commands, plays fetch like a champ and loves our runs/walks/hikes. I think he would do best in a home without another dog with someone who wants an active companion.

Story
Meet Charlie – The Distinguished Gentleman With a Wiggle Butt! Meet Charlie, a charming 7-year-old Australian Shepherd who’s mastered the perfect balance of calm companionship and classic Aussie cheer. With his soft eyes, fluffy coat, and signature “Charlie wiggle,” he’s the kind of dog who makes everyone he meets smile. Charlie may not be a high-octane puppy anymore, but he still loves a good stroll, a fun sniff-ari, and any excuse to hang out with his favorite humans. He’s smart, loyal, and wonderfully easygoing—just the right blend of mature and playful. Whether he’s gently nudging your hand for pets, showing off his polite manners, or curling up beside you after a long day, Charlie shines as a steady, loving presence. He’s ready for a cozy home, soft beds, and a family who appreciates his sweet, soulful personality. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a heart as big as his floof, Charlie is your guy. Story
*Visit Darcy and Molly in person at the Holland Petsmart (12635 Felch St) December 6 from 2 to 5pm. Talk to their foster mom and get any questions answered. We hope to see you there!* Meet Darcy & Molly – A Beautiful Bonded Pair Ready to Complete Your Family After nearly a year in rescue, we are still searching for the perfect home for Darcy and Molly, two sweet, senior girls with hearts as big as their combined fluff. These lifelong best friends are inseparable, and we’re looking for a family who’s ready to open their heart to both. 🌟 About Darcy & Molly Darcy is a gentle Great Pyrenees, and Molly is a lively Border Collie mix. At 11 years old, they may be considered seniors, but Molly still thinks she’s a pup — zooming around the yard and tossing toys with joy. Darcy, true to her breed, is calm, nurturing, and incredibly loving. Together, they balance each other out perfectly. They’ve lived together their entire lives and rely on one another for comfort and companionship. We will only adopt them as a pair. 🐶 Their Foster Life They currently live with both a small and a large dog and get along beautifully. Molly especially enjoys playtime with the smaller dog and is full of joyful energy. Both girls LOVE the snow — it’s like watching puppies romp for the first time! They’ve shown mild interest but no aggression toward cats and co-exist peacefully with chickens. 💖 Their Personalities Molly is smart, active, and loves mental and physical enrichment. Daily walks, puzzle toys, or games of fetch are her jam. She has all the classic Border Collie intelligence and drive — she needs someone who appreciates and engages that! Darcy is the soul of serenity. She’s affectionate, steady, and thrives on gentle companionship. She’s your classic couch-loving, people-snuggling senior girl. 🧡 Darcy’s Special Needs Darcy does have age-related arthritis and degenerative disc disease. Her foster family has worked closely with our vet to get her comfortable on a medication routine. She’s doing much better now but may have occasional flare-ups. She uses a sling during tough days and needs a home without stairs or with very minimal steps. Despite her mobility issues, she enjoys short walks and being outside — especially when there’s snow on the ground! We believe in giving our senior dogs the best quality of life, and her foster mom has done an incredible job keeping her comfortable, happy, and loved. 🧼 Grooming & Care Both girls have been professionally groomed and do best with regular daily brushing — something they both enjoy. It’s also a great way to bond with them! We know adopting two senior dogs isn’t a small decision — but we also know it’s one of the most meaningful. Darcy and Molly have so much love left to give, and they deserve a soft landing together with someone who sees their beauty, age and all. Could that be you? If you think you’re the perfect match, email us at tysonsplacerescue@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application here: https://tysonsplacerescue.org/cat-and-dog-adoptions/#adopt 🐾 Could you be the happy ending Darcy & Molly are waiting for? 🐾
