If you’re looking for a dog with a "job," a brilliant mind, and endless energy, look no further. This handsome Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix is the quintessential working dog, currently looking for a wide-open space to call his own.
🎾 The Basics
Activity Level: Olympic Athlete. Whether it’s a high-speed game of fetch, a long hike, or zoomies in the yard, he is always ready to move.
Social Life: He is a true gentleman with cats. When it comes to dogs, he is a "ladies' man" who thrives with female companions. He takes a bit longer to warm up to other males, but he’s a fast learner.
The "Work" Ethic: True to his heritage, he has a strong drive to herd. While he occasionally tries to organize his canine friends, he responds beautifully to corrections and is currently be fostered with a trainer to polish his social skills and play style.
🏡 The Ideal Home
Because of his breed’s protective instincts, he has previously struggled with guarding his home and has a bite history involving a stranger. He isn’t a "city dog" or a social butterfly for crowded parks. Instead, he needs:
A Rural or Farm Setting: He flourishes when he has room to roam and a quiet environment.
A Savvy Handler: Someone who understands herding breeds and can continue his training journey.
A Secure Perimeter: A place where he can feel safe without the stress of constant foot traffic from strangers.

He is currently fostered with a professional trainer, working hard on his social etiquette. He is making great strides in learning how to play appropriately and look to his human for guidance.

Wilson's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care.
