Story
Meet Nettie 💕 Nettie is a playful, affectionate Aussie puppy with a heart as big as her personality. She is visually and hearing impaired, but you’d never guess it watching her live her life. Nettie navigates her world beautifully and loves following her people and dog friends wherever the fun is happening. This sweet girl absolutely thrives being part of the action. She loves being outside, going on walks, exploring the yard, and yes… fully embracing mud season. After her nightly walk, she’s ready to crash and recharge for the next day of adventures. She even does great getting her paws and belly wiped off when she comes inside. Nettie is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She already knows hand signals for sit, down, and stay, and she’s doing great with door manners… she waits patiently and does not bolt when doors are opened. She’s currently working on “come,” which can be a little trickier with her limited vision, but she continues to make progress every day. She walks nicely on a leash and, for her safety, will need to remain leashed unless in a securely fenced yard. That’s truly the biggest difference with Nettie… otherwise, she’s just like any other happy, playful puppy. Nettie is fully potty trained and crate trained. She goes to bed early, sleeps soundly through the night, and is ready to start her day bright and early. She’s also a dream in the house and only chews on her toys… no shoes, furniture, or household items. She loves other dogs, people, and kids. Nettie gets especially excited to meet new friends, showing off her adorable little wiggle butt. She plays a bit rough at times since she can’t hear other dogs’ cues, but she redirects easily and has shown no aggressive behaviors or resource guarding. Her personality is really starting to shine… she’s goofy, happy, curious, and loves to follow you everywhere. She enjoys attention and affection, often coming to you for pets or bringing toys to share. While she enjoys the occasional snuggle, she’s just as happy relaxing on a cool floor or in her kennel. And one extra perk? Loud noises like vacuums don’t bother her at all… she’s more likely to come check it out and “help” than be scared of it. Nettie is a truly special girl who just needs someone willing to see how capable and loving she is. Once you meet her, it’s hard not to fall in love. Nettie is fostered in Lake Tomahawk, WI. Story
Meet Nettie 💕 Nettie is a playful, affectionate Aussie puppy with a heart as big as her personality. She is visually and hearing impaired, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. Nettie navigates her world incredibly well and does a great job following her humans and dog friends wherever the fun is happening. This sweet girl absolutely adores people and loves being part of whatever is going on around her. Whether it’s playing with toys, wrestling with her dog friends, exploring the yard, or going for walks, Nettie is always ready for the next adventure. She is currently learning basic commands using hand signals and lots of treats and praise. So far she’s working on sit, stay, and down, and she’s catching on quickly thanks to her great focus and eye contact. Nettie is also doing well learning to walk on a leash and enjoys getting her puppy energy out playing both inside and outside. Nettie is fully potty trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out. She also does great with handling, even letting her foster family trim her nails with no issues. She has shown no aggressive behaviors, including around food, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. One extra perk of Nettie being deaf? When she sleeps, she really sleeps. Loud noises, barking dogs, vacuums, and busy households don’t bother her at all. Training with hand signals works beautifully for her, and resources and support for sign-language-style training can be shared with her future family. Nettie is a joyful, loving pup who will make an amazing addition to a family or couple ready to welcome a very special girl. She’s sweet, fun, and full of love, and she can’t wait to find her forever home. 🐾💖 Nettie is fostered in Lake Tomahawk, WI. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Story
Meet Noble! Noble may experience the world a little differently than most dogs, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the absolute fullest. Although he is deaf and mostly blind, this happy little guy is full of confidence, curiosity, and joy. He loves zooming around the yard, chasing shadows, exploring new spaces, and following his favorite people like the most loyal little sidekick. Noble is a true social butterfly. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, respects his feline friends, and absolutely adores kids. In fact, he would likely thrive in a home with a playful dog sibling to romp around with. This smart boy is both crate trained and fully potty trained. Even more impressive, Noble uses a doggy doorbell button and pushes it with his nose when he needs to go outside. Pretty amazing for a pup who navigates the world a little differently! Life with Noble is full speed, full fun, and full love. He’s ready to bring his big personality and sweet heart to a family who will cherish him just as much as he’ll cherish them. Noble is fostered in West Bend, WI. Story
We adopted James about 3.5 years ago, we think he's almost 7. When he was rescued his leg was broken and they amputated it but it definitely doesn't slow him down. He loves playing fetch and learning tricks for treats. His behavior indicates a rough life but he's quick to learn and has improved significantly. He would probably thrive in a single dog home with someone who has experience with dogs. He does not like cats or small children. We recently became pregnant and it's not going well for him. We love him so much and hope we can find someone he deserves.

Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is a handsome Catahoula Leopard/Aussie mix pup with the sweetest eyes and an adorable goofy side to match. Born on 11/20/2025 (Mama Lucy’s pup), he’s right in that fun (and busy!) puppy stage where he’s learning all the important life skills. Charlie was originally adopted as a tiny pup, but like many young dogs, he’s still working through the basics — potty training, crate training, and those teething days that can lead to some chewing. All totally normal for his age, and he’s already making great progress! What we love about Charlie: * Such a sweet little goofball* Around 30–35 lbs* Learning how to play with other dogs* Also great at entertaining himself (he’ll play catch with his own toys!)* Making progress with potty training* Keeps his crate clean so far (great foundation!)* Does pretty well on leash* Sits like a champ for treats Charlie is still working on loving his kennel — he may cry a bit at first — but he’s already going in more willingly and improving every day. He just needs a patient, consistent home to help him continue building confidence. He’s the perfect mix of playful, independent, and snuggly — a pup who can keep himself busy but will happily soak up love from his people. If you’re ready for a loyal companion, puppy laughs, and a whole lot of love, Charlie might just be your guy. Adoption fee: $250Includes neuter, microchip, UTD vaccines, and current vet check.
