Meet Nora 🤍 an Australian Shepherd mix with the softest, gentlest soul. Nora is both hearing and sight impaired, but she is incredibly smart and learns new things quickly with kind, patient guidance. She experiences the world through touch and closeness, and she truly thrives when she’s near her humans while she explores and plays. When you pet her, she completely melts into your hands and soaks up every bit of affection. Nora is calm and chill, much more laid-back than your typical Aussie, and she’s an absolute dream in her crate, sleeping like a rock through the night. She enjoys human interaction, gentle play, and being guided as she learns about her surroundings. Nora is working on potty training and continues to make progress. She is a truly special dog who will do best with someone ready to offer love, patience, and connection. Nora is fostered in Bloomer, WI. Story
Meet Nettie 💕 Nettie is a playful, friendly, and affectionate Aussie puppy with a heart as big as her personality. She is visually and hearing impaired, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She navigates her world incredibly well, rarely bumping into things, and is excellent at following her humans and dog friends wherever the fun is happening. She absolutely adores kids and always wants to be right in the middle of the action and makes sure she’s not left out of anything she decides is important (or fun!) She loves playing with toys, wrestling with her dog friends, and going on long walks to burn off her happy puppy energy. Nettie is crate and house trained and does very well. One extra perk of Nettie being deaf? When she sleeps, she really sleeps — loud noises, barking dogs, vacuums, and busy households don’t bother her at all. She also makes excellent eye contact, which makes training with hand signals a great option. Resources and support for sign-language-style training would happily be shared with her future family. Nettie is a joyful, loving pup who is ready to bring laughter, cuddles, and endless affection to a home that will celebrate just how special she is. 🐾💖 Nettie is fostered in Spencer, WI. Story
Hi there, I'm Brutus! I'm an 8-year-old male Australian shepherd mix. I am current on my vaccines, and soon to be heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. I am a foster-to-adopt candidate. 3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Calm, Smart Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I was brought to CRHS after being found with my deceased owner. This has understandably been a rough change for me and I've had a hard time transitioning to shelter life. I'm still a little nervous around men but, I'm building my trust. I'm now living in a foster home and LOVING IT!!! My foster mom says that I'm smart, sweet and that I'm the best boy for her 5 year old son. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 4/10 Housetraining Status: My foster mom says I'm completely housebroken with a routine. I should do well in a home: kiddos of all ages. I am required to meet any and all dogs in the household. In my previous home I did not get along with the cats, so my new home will need to be cat free. Staff at CRHS recommend I be taken into foster-to-adopt before adoption, but it's not required. My favorite activities are: Relaxing in a calm environment, sitting with people I'm comfortable with, and learning new things. Things I need work on are: Confidence building, basic commands Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $250 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Meet Goose A senstive soul looking for the right place to land Goose is a sweet, goofy, and loving boy who bonds deeply with his people. He enjoys the good things in life: car rides trips to the dog park puppy cups (a personal favorite) He can get so excited sometimes that he has occasional potty accidents, but with patience, consistency, and a calm routine, he continues to make progress. Goose is on the sensitive side. Loud noises, busy environments, and young children can be overwhelming for him. When strangers approach, he may bark or growl out of fear, not aggression. Once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal personality shines through. At home, Goose chooses to sleep in his crate with the door open, using it as his safe space and quiet retreat. He truly seems happiest when life is predictable and peaceful. Ideal Home for Goose:A quieter, country-style or low-traffic home with minimal noise and fewer sudden surprises. He would thrive with a patient, understanding adopter who can let him settle in at his own pace. Adoption Fee: $200 Goose isn’t asking for perfection. He’s asking for understanding, calm, and commitment. In return, he offers loyalty, love, and a forever kind of friendship. He is really a sweetheart once he knows people are ok If you are interested in Goose, and are pre-approved, message us directly or apply now at newleashdogrescue.com ##2101893##

Story
Bear is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd who is incredibly smart, affectionate, and full of energy. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you do and will happily soak up all the love and attention you can give. When his needs are met, he is a super cuddly companion who truly enjoys being close to his people. As an Australian Shepherd, Bear needs an active lifestyle and plenty of mental and physical outlets. He would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off energy, along with daily walks and ongoing engagement. An experienced, very active home that understands working breeds would be the best fit for him. Bear must go to a home with no kids. He does live with another dog. He does very well at daycare and boarding. On leash, he can be reactive and will bark at other dogs, as well as at the TV and out the window, so continued structure and guidance will help him succeed. Bear is looking for a committed home that can give him the exercise, enrichment, and affection he deserves. In return, he will give endless loyalty, cuddles, and companionship. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org
