He is very social and sweet high energy for sure but after a long walk, he was worn out and laid-back.""Crazy Train did so good on his doggy day out! He’s such a fun, social, and loving dog. He was so excited to meet all the new people and places. He did really well during the car ride as well and loved sticking his head out of the window. Such an amazing boy!!""He did amazing, super excited to move and walk, neutral towards other dogs, loves to be outside, but very calm in the house! once we were done with the hike, he just laid down and settled very easily once inside.""Crazy Train was a perfect mix of energy and snuggles. Hi, I'm Jasper! I'm a 1-year-old male border collie mix. At just 18 months old and around 40# (plus a whole lot of fluff!), Marco is an adorable Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (our best guess). He is a loyal, slightly clumsy and utterly lovable Velcro dog, happiest wherever his people are. With lovely medium energy, Marco is always up for playing and doing things with his family. He is equally happy relaxing in the yard, soaking up the sunshine while watching his favorite show, Bunny TV. Cuddling with his humans is another favorite pastime. He discovered the joy of toys, and his goofy play style is downright adorable. Marco can be shy when meeting new people. He prefers to take his time, observe, think things over, and then decide when he's ready to approach. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines. Patience, kindness, and allowing him to move at his own pace are key to building his confidence and winning his trust. The ideal family for this handsome lad will help him become more confident without sheltering him from the world. He wants to explore, experience new things, and expand his horizons. He loves being outdoors and loves going for walks. A securely fenced yard would be amazing: he would love a safe place to explore and gain faith in himself. Marco does well with the cats in his foster home, simply ignoring them. We know from his prior home that he cannot live with free-range chickens. A calm, confident canine companion could be a good match after proper introductions. He could live with mature children who understand that loud noises and being startled aren't his jam. He is housebroken once settled into a new routine. Relaxes in his crate when his people are away. He wants to take his new family to obedience classes to learn lots of things and spend time together. You will not find a more devoted companion than Marco. He cannot wait to find a deep connection with a special family that will treasure him as much as he will adore them. Hi there! I’m Mint, a 2-year-old, 34# Border Collie with a big heart, a clever mind, and an impressive talent for running victory laps around the yard with my favorite toy. I’m medium energy, easy to live with and ready to find my very own home. My favorite place in the world is wherever my person is. I’m a devoted, affectionate girl who loves being close to the humans I trust. Tummy rubs and cuddling beside you on the couch are my favorite. You’ll see the real me when I feel safe, connected, and included in your life. I’m a sensitive soul and ask for a gentle approach, patience, and a predictable schedule help me shine. I enjoy walks on leash, romping around a securely fenced yard and carrying toys from place to place. I’m intelligent and engaged and fully enjoy one-on-one time with my person playing or learning something new. That’s all it takes to be well on our way to becoming a terrific team! I am kind and gentle with the older dogs in my foster home, and would enjoy having a playful canine sibling who wants some company. I’m reliably housebroken and prefer to take care of business in a fenced area rather than on leash. I’m also more comfortable in an exercise pen than a traditional crate at home. Dusk is a collie border, cattle dog mix, We had adopted him from a humane society, since he is a herding breed, he tends to nip. Which has made our living situation difficult. He is a sweet boy and enjoys running and burning energy. He is kennel trained and potty trained. He does well with other dogs; it’s unknown how he does with cats. He understands most commands, and does very well on walks.

Meet the medium-sized bundle of joy that is Scarlett! Scarlett may take a moment to warm up when she initially meets a new person, but she bounces back quickly – and in no time at all, she’s your best friend. At just over 10 months old, Scarlett is not the typical highly active, on-the-go-at-all-times energetic puppy. While she certainly enjoys playtime and sufficient daily exercise, she’s more of an old soul and gravitates toward calm time alongside her people.Now that Scarlett’s been introduced to the goodness of treats, she’s very food-motivated and that’s helping her learn new skills. She knows ‘sit,’ ‘shake,’ and she walks nicely on leash. Scarlett’s still trying to get the hang of potty training and the indoor household environment may be new to her, but with consistency, frequency, positive reinforcement, and patience, there’s no doubt her house training will come along well.Scarlett gets an A+ rating around other dogs and loves playing with them. Joining a home with another dog will be beneficial for her to have a built-in playmate and companion. While she hasn’t been directly introduced to cats at the shelter, we feel she’d most likely do well around them. And she gets along with respectful children just fine, too.One thing Scarlett’s not a fan of is car rides, so a family that’s home often will be best. Then she can stay safely tucked away at her home base without going on a ton of travels. Overall, Scarlett is a delightful companion and she’d fit well into a variety of household environments.
