Story
Meet Nettie 💕 Nettie is a playful, affectionate Aussie puppy with a heart as big as her personality. She is visually and hearing impaired, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. Nettie navigates her world incredibly well and does a great job following her humans and dog friends wherever the fun is happening. This sweet girl absolutely adores people and loves being part of whatever is going on around her. Whether it’s playing with toys, wrestling with her dog friends, exploring the yard, or hopping through the snow (one of her favorite things!), Nettie is always ready for the next adventure. She is doing amazing with her training using hand signals, treats, and praise. Nettie has mastered “sit” and is very close to mastering “down.” She’s also doing great with “heel” and will sit and make eye contact when you stop walking. She’s incredibly focused and eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. Nettie continues to do well on a leash and is learning not to pull, though she sometimes gets excited and wants to match the energy of other dogs around her. She’s also working on “sit and stay” for things like mealtime and door manners, and she’s making great progress. She is fully potty trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out. Nettie kennels beautifully, has settled into a great daily routine, and is ready for bed around 8pm, sleeping soundly all night. In the morning, she knows the routine… outside to potty, then straight to breakfast, which she is a BIG fan of! Nettie does wonderfully with handling and allows nail trims without any issues. She has shown no aggressive behaviors, including around food, and gets along great with other dogs. One extra perk of Nettie being deaf? When she sleeps, she really sleeps. Loud noises, barking dogs, vacuums, and busy households don’t bother her at all. Training with hand signals works beautifully for her, and her future family will be supported with resources to help her continue thriving. Nettie is a joyful, loving pup who melts right into you for pets and affection. She’s goofy, smart, and always happy, and she can’t wait to find a forever home that will love her just as much as she’ll love them. Nettie is fostered in Lake Tomahawk, WI. Meet Noble! Noble may experience the world a little differently than most dogs, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the absolute fullest. Although he is deaf and mostly blind, this happy little guy is full of confidence, curiosity, and joy. He loves zooming around the yard, chasing shadows, exploring new spaces, and following his favorite people like the most loyal little sidekick. Noble is a true social butterfly. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, respects his feline friends, and absolutely adores kids. In fact, he would likely thrive in a home with a playful dog sibling to romp around with. This smart boy is both crate trained and fully potty trained. Even more impressive, Noble uses a doggy doorbell button and pushes it with his nose when he needs to go outside. Pretty amazing for a pup who navigates the world a little differently! Life with Noble is full speed, full fun, and full love. He’s ready to bring his big personality and sweet heart to a family who will cherish him just as much as he’ll cherish them. Noble is fostered in West Bend, WI. This sweet girl absolutely adores people and loves being part of whatever is going on around her. Whether it’s playing with toys, wrestling with her dog friends, exploring the yard, or going for walks, Nettie is always ready for the next adventure. She is currently learning basic commands using hand signals and lots of treats and praise. So far she’s working on sit, stay, and down, and she’s catching on quickly thanks to her great focus and eye contact. Nettie is also doing well learning to walk on a leash and enjoys getting her puppy energy out playing both inside and outside. Nettie is fully potty trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out. She also does great with handling, even letting her foster family trim her nails with no issues. She has shown no aggressive behaviors, including around food, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. One extra perk of Nettie being deaf? When she sleeps, she really sleeps. Loud noises, barking dogs, vacuums, and busy households don’t bother her at all. Training with hand signals works beautifully for her, and resources and support for sign-language-style training can be shared with her future family. Nettie is a joyful, loving pup who will make an amazing addition to a family or couple ready to welcome a very special girl.
