This adorable pup is Cooper. He is friendly and excited to begin his adventure in a new place and with new people. Cooper is a certified adventure pup who can't wait to stick his nose and toes in the Truckee and maybe hike one of the nearby trails. Story
Hi! My name is Lion and I am a 7 year old Australian and German Shepherd mix. I’m getting older and am losing my sight and hearing. This means I am getting more and more nervous around people and pets. My dad joined the military so I’m anxious about traveling and would love a family who won’t be moving around. Right now I am taking Reconcile, Trazadone, and Gabapentin just to be able to go to the vet. I do live with children (4 year old and 9 year old) and have never had any incident with them, but I am constantly trying to get away from them. They always want to play and I just want snacks and cuddles. I am more timid towards men than women, but I will warm up to you after a minute regardless. I am just very vocal and bark a lot. Thank you for reading about me and I hope that I can find a family who is better suited to accommodate my needs!

Story
Benny is an energetic 1.5 year old tricolor Australian shepherd. He weighs 65 lbs. He is loving and loyal to his people, but can take time to warm up to new people. He loves playing at the dog park and going on hikes/runs/bike rides. He also loves cuddling on the couch in the evenings. He is protective of his house but not aggressive. He would do best in an active home or on a farm/ranch, especially with other dogs or someone who can give him two solid daily bits of exercise.

Story
Otis was born in April 2024. He is a loyal, goofy protector with a huge heart. He’s grown out of the wildest parts of puppyhood and has started to mellow, but he’s still a high-energy guy who loves movement, adventure, and being right in the middle of things. He can be a bit cautious with new experiences, but once he understands what’s happening, he jumps in with enthusiasm.Due to a change in our family’s circumstances, we’re making this decision out of love and a desire to fully meet Otis’s needs.Strengths:Great with kidsGreat with other dogs and catsFully crate trained and house/potty trainedKnows basic commands (sit, stay, lay down) and learns quicklyAffectionate, social, and happyNeeds help with leash skills and recall. We live in the Bay Area but we want Otis to find a home somewhere with A LOT of nature - he needs regular physical activity- we’ll happily drive him to Tahoe/Truckee area for the right family. Otis would do really well with an older (dog) brother or sister!

Story
Storie is 12 lbs, is very sweet. She is potty trained, but when I first got her she would piddle out of nervousness or fear of the unknown since she didn't know us. It took her about a month or so to get out of that. She is completely up to date on shots. She does like most small respectful dogs around her size. She's afraid of most big dogs, so not really considering anyone with big dogs... I'm not sure about cats since I don't have any. But I used to have a Holland lop bunny, and she loved him. She's not aggressive at all, but she's nervous around most men because she had been abused, and she will growl at big dogs, but has never tried to bite any animals or people. For the most part she's just loving and playful. Loves to snuggle. She got spayed January 16th, so she's ready to be adopted.

Got him from a family friend he is now 7 months old and looking for a home that is able to give him more attention than I can offer he is very energetic loving only thing I do have to mention is his diet if his vitamins aren’t on time he’s not gonna hold anything or if too much food is given to him also won’t be able to hold anything, I would recommend someone with instant access to a yard to think of him
