She came last summer and she has just been an absolute delight. No bad habits. House trained. Only issue is she insists on sleeping in the bed with me. She’s very attached. Super smart. Super soft long coat that lays down. Not the kind of coat that seems to need Grooming. Absolute doll very attentive great with cats dogs and livestock. She’s definitely a house dog though. Story
Speck is my baby boy. After getting a divorce earlier this year, I realized I was doing a massive disservice to him because I could not provide him the life that he deserves. I adopted him as a puppy and he did grow up in Covid years which definitely affected him in some ways. He LOVES other dogs and can be perfect in boarding/doggy daycare situations…but because he wasn’t super socialized as a puppy with people, he can be very anxious about meeting new strangers. Often I need people to sit down before he meets them and still it can be a little bit of a trial to get him comfortable. It’s better if they bring their own dog around, it’s shows him that the new people are trustworthy. He also needs to be pretty well medicated to go to the vet. Hasn’t been a huge issue, but is still something to consider. Other than that, he’s a lovebug. Wants to snuggle and cuddle and be a couch potato all day long (despite his breed). He loves hard and deserves lots of love back.
