Meet Faith! This beautiful 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix weighs 49 pounds and is one smart, energetic girl who is ready for a much better life. Faith came to us from another rescue after being left outside with dirty water and barely enough food, so it's possible that inadequate nutrition contributed to some muscle loss. She does have some weakness in her hind legs, but don't let that fool you—Faith can walk, run, play with other dogs, and keep up with all the action. X-rays were normal, her knees feel good, and she doesn't appear to be in pain. Faith is busy, intelligent, and energetic, and with her Aussie and Cattle Dog heritage, she absolutely needs more than a couch and a few trips around the block. She'll thrive with a family that will provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, training, and plenty of opportunities to be included in daily activities. Faith wants a job, an adventure, or at the very least something interesting to think about—she is not looking to spend her days lounging around! Beckett is a very handsome mini Australian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 35 lbs. This distinguished boy is a young 10-year-old. Beckett was saved from the streets of Nashville. He was abandoned and alone. Thanks to a caring lady who could not bear the thought of him spending any more time outside, Beckett is now in a loving foster home. He is under the care of Critter Cavalry. It did not take long for this awesome gentleman to make himself at home. After meeting the resident dogs, he explored outside. He came in and found a spot to relax. He is getting along great with his new foster sisters. He is also good with cats. This super smart boy quickly learned to use the doggie door. He can now come and go as he pleases. He does prefer to be inside and likes to know where his foster mom is. Beckett is enjoying all the love and attention he is getting. It takes him a few minutes, but he quickly warms up to new people. He just has to make sure that you are nice. Beckett is housebroken. He walks well on a leash. He also does not mind the crate and will go right in for a treat. He currently sleeps in his crate, but we think he would love to cuddle up right next to you. Meet Bailey Girl, a sweet Aussie looking for her chance Bailey Girl is a beautiful 20-pound female 8 month old Mini Aussie mix with a story that will break your heart—but the little dog she is becoming will put it right back together. Bailey Girl was abandoned during extremely hot weather when someone placed her inside a school playground with no way to get out. Tragically, she wasn’t discovered until the following Monday when the school reopened. Someone had reportedly witnessed her being left there but did not notify anyone. We may never understand why she was abandoned that way, but we do know one thing: her story does not have to end where it began. Today, Bailey Girl is safe in a loving foster home, and she is doing beautifully. It took her only a couple of days to begin trusting her foster, and now she has become her little shadow. She does well with other dogs and cats, walks on a leash, and can even be left loose in the home with the other dogs while her foster is at work. Bailey Girl is still working on becoming completely house trained, but she is extremely intelligent and continues to learn. She enjoys having a yard where she can run and as her confidence and trust have grown, she happily comes back to her foster when called. Because Bailey Girl can be somewhat fearful of children, we believe she would be happiest in a home without children, where she can feel secure and develop a strong bond with her person or family. Bailey may need a little more patience in the beginning than some dogs. You have to earn her trust—but once you do, something very special happens. She begins to understand that she is safe. She follows you. She looks to you for reassurance. And before long, you realize you haven’t just gained a dog—you’ve gained a devoted little sidekick. A word of advice please. Bailey Girl needs someone who won’t expect everything from her on the first day. She needs love, patience, kindness, and time. Give her the opportunity to understand that you aren’t going anywhere, and she will give that love and devotion right back to you. Bailey may very well become the dog you talk about for the rest of your life.
