Story
Meet Winter — A One-of-a-Kind Snugglebug Looking for Her Forever Home! Winter is a year-old female Aussie/Shepherd mix with a heart as warm as her name is cool. Her rescue story began in Mississippi, when one of our southern partners spotted her bravely crossing the road during early morning school traffic — dragging a clearly injured back leg. Without hesitation, the kind woman scooped her up and rushed her to safety. X-rays revealed an old, untreated injury that had left her back leg completely unusable. Winter underwent a necessary amputation, and this resilient girl has been healing beautifully ever since. Despite her rough start, Winter’s gentle spirit shines bright. She’s an easygoing, low-energy sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether it’s curling up for a snuggle, enjoying a quiet afternoon, or tagging along for a car ride, she’s happiest when she’s with her people.Winter’s Wonderful Qualities: -Easygoing and affectionate -A calm, steady presence-Low energy and loves to snuggle -Great with all people and other dogs and kitties -Leash trained, crate trained, and fully house trained -Loves car rides and family walks The precious girl is truly the perfect companion. With her soft eyes, sweet nature, and incredible resilience, she is more than ready to bring love, comfort, and companionship to a family who will cherish her as much as she’ll adore them. If you’re looking for a loyal friend with a heart of gold, Winter is waiting to warm your home and your heart.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONPaws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need. Paws New England abides by the dog importation regulations set forth in the states of MA, CT, NH and RI.

Story
Meet Emma (brown 10 year old girl)) and Caroline (black/gray 11 year old girl). They are two of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. These two sisters are the very definition of a “velcro dog”. Sadly, their owner passed away so they are looking for their forever home where they can stay together and share their warm, loyal companionship with someone who will cherish them as much as they'll cherish you. They love being by your side. They will curl up by your feet or put their head in your lap and follow you from room to room. Need a snuggle? They have you covered. They are also very active and enjoy long walks and have plenty of energy. Both girls are already house and crate trained, and handle and car rides just fine.Emma can use some work walking on the leash and Caroline was initially fearful of going up and down stairs, but in time has proven she is capable (front steps, beds, and couches are no problem). Both are well behaved and love to please you. They seem very well socialized and get along nicely with other dogs and people.Australian Shepherds are an amazing breed. They do require both mental and physical stimulus or they can get bored. They are getting three good walks a day in their foster home. These two girls will capture your heart just as they have their foster parents’.Name: Caroline & EmmaBreed: Australian Shepherd/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 10 and 11 years oldWeight: 44 and 46 poundsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $250.00  Location of dog currently:    New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Meet Chanel, a striking upbeat beauty with a heart full of joy and a spirit that shines as brightly as her glossy coat. Chanel was dropped off at the shelter as a stray—pregnant and alone. She brought her puppies into the world safely, was the best mama, and once they were all adopted, she finally got her turn to relax and settle into a foster home. There, she is blossoming.Around other dogs, Chanel prefers slow introductions. In smaller or crowded environments she may correct overly boisterous pups, but she isn’t aggressive—she just values her space. Once she’s comfortable, she loves to run in the yard and enjoy the freedom of wide-open spaces with her canine friends. She’s very curious about cats and tries to chase them if they run. With children, she is tail wagging happily as she leans in for pets and attention. On walks, Chanel may start off with a burst of excitement, but she quickly settles into a lovely, steady pace. During car rides, she will be your co-pilot—sitting up to take in the view or stretching out peacefully for the journey. This girl is both housetrained and crate trained, sleeping in her crate at night and resting there quietly when her foster is away.Chanel is an energetic, outdoorsy girl who would thrive with an active family. She loves long walks, fresh air, and exploring new places. Yet she’s also happy sprawled at your feet during family gatherings One of her foster’s favorite memories? Being on a boat, eyes closed, coat glistening in the wind as she soaked in the sun like a queen. She will do best in a home with dogs who aren’t constantly in her face and who are calmer in temperament. A secure yard is a needed—this curious girl may try her best escape artist impressions if given the chance. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to join your adventures, snuggle into your home, and light up your life, Chanel might just be the perfect match. She has already shown her resilience—she’s simply waiting for the family who will show her love in return.Name: ChanelBreed: Australian Shepherd/HuskySex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 50.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: No, wants to chase.Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  AlabamaIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
