Meet Magnolia (affectionately known as Maggie)! 🌸 Maggie is a beautiful Australian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees mix born at the end of July. She is a happy, active puppy with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. Maggie is a double merle and, because of this, she is deaf—but that certainly doesn’t slow her down or hold her back in life! Maggie is incredibly smart and a quick learner. She is eager to please and has already shown how capable she is at learning through consistency and positive reinforcement. We are looking for an adopter with experience with deaf dogs—or someone willing to learn—who is committed to training her using hand signals and providing the structure she needs to thrive. For her safety, Maggie will require a securely fenced yard. She absolutely adores playing with other dogs, and we feel she would do best in a home with a friendly canine companion to help her continue building confidence and burning off puppy energy. Maggie is doing wonderfully with house training and has mastered using the dog door. In a home without a dog door, she will just need a little extra guidance to continue her success. At night, she sleeps comfortably in a dog bed but is also crate-trained if needed. She walks well on a leash and is continuing to grow into a very well-rounded young lady. Maggie is expected to be a large dog, and due to her size, breed traits, and enthusiasm, she would do best in a home with older children. adoption donation : $499 weight 32 lbs Age 1 year Ginger is a beautiful, super friendly girl who loves everyone she meets, her tail never stops wagging! This loving girl was found in Puerto Rico sitting under a coconut tree on a beach known to be a place where people dump dogs. A kindly couple saw her there and assumed she was waiting for her owners but three days later she was still in the same spot, hungry, and trembling. The couple took her in and discovered she was the sweetest dog ever! They had her spayed and vaccinated and on February 6 this lucky girl arrived to her new foster home in the northeast, ready for a loving family of her own. Ginger doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body, she is all kisses, wiggles and wags! She loves other dogs and is gentle with children. Ginger is medium energy and loves to run around outside but when she’s home she likes to curl up with her toys or a bone or try to snuggle on her foster parents laps! Ginger is completely housebroken and fully grown at 32 pounds. She will make some lucky family a wonderful new addition. Wags of Monroe county is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Meet Sheesh, a one-year-old pup whose unique personality perplexed her foster mom until she received the breed results — border collie and Labrador retriever!  Sheesh’s hobbies are all lab. She loves playing fetch and brings the ball back consistently.  Sheesh also loves water and will go towards any source of water, whether it’s coming from a sprinkler in the neighborhood or running in a creek. She loves being outside in the rain and isn’t afraid of getting all wet. She’s so calm and easy during baths that her foster mom still bathes her in the kitchen sink even though she’s much too big for it now at 45 lbs full grown.  The border collie in Sheesh is also very apparent in how intelligent and obedient she is. Sheesh follows instructions without the need for a treat. She’ll come when you call her name and go to her crate when told to. She’s very smart and learns new skills quickly. She also has some herding tendencies and can get very focused on things like a squirrel in the yard. She’s of course energetic, but does take plenty of naps throughout the day.  Sheesh will do best in an active home with owners who want to take her on long morning walks. Sheesh loves her walks, but she can get a little too excited by other excitable dogs she encounters. She will need someone willing to work with her on this, possibly with a trainer’s help. Sheesh is very redirectable and responsive if the person walking her knows what to do.  Sheesh has been in her foster home since July 2024 and is fully potty trained, crate trained and has zero separation anxiety. She’s super friendly, happy and loving, and is friends with all the dogs in her foster home. There’s not a mean bone in her body. She even shows remarkable patience with small puppies, letting them climb all over her and chew on her beautiful, fluffy tail. Although she’s not perfect, Sheesh is a special young dog who will bring great joy to her forever family.”
