If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, the Joey is your guy. We think this gorgeous, tricolor male could be a cross between an Australian Shepard and an English Shepard, both of which are very intelligent breeds. He would be the perfect dog for someone who works from home. Joey walks well on a leash, even though he pulls a bit, and rides well in a car. Joey gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. Joey would make a great hiking buddy as he is always ready for an adventure. He was picked up as a stray and is guesstimated to be between 3-5 years old. Due to his activity level, we think he is closer to 3 years old. Joey has been neutered, is to up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. Unfortunately, Joey did test positive for heartworms. Since he is asymptomatic for heartworms, he is on the slow kill method to eliminate them and he should test negative in a year or two. In the meantime, he can live life normally without any restrictions. Joey’s adoption donation is $450 which includes the $165 transport fee. Joey is being fostered in Arkansas. If you would like to adopt Joey, please fill out an adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application.
