Story
Fidget is a one year old australian shepherd purchased from the breeder by teenagers who soon realized they could not afford a dog and did not have time for one. She is not on a rescue home with many other dogs and has a great time playing with them all day long. Loves the rain, the mud, the grass, games of fetch, wrestling, and just being a free spirit. She is crate trained, housetrained, and has great house manners. She would do best in an active home with a fenced yard! She loves everybody she needs, and all the dogs around her, often greeting them with licks to the face! Email Kristin at Irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application

Story
Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is only about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is completely healed from that. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and could be available for transport but transport fees are on top of the adoption fee.

Story
From Hazel's foster family: "We are honored to have been able to spend the last 10 days fostering Hazel. She responds well to her name. She has been going potty outside and ringing a bell with minimal accidents. She does fairly well on a leash with some pulling. She has gotten braver with outdoors and decided she really likes it. She enjoys relaxing on a porch or running around outside. Hazel also has very high energy and could use a safe place to run. She responds to the words sit, down, no, potty, toy, and outside. She loves to grumble when playing this is not a growl. She does not bark often. She puts her nose against everything including humans. She does jump very high and was learning the down command. Holding things high makes her want to jump out of curiosity, so it is best to hold things around waist level so she can see what is going on. She sleeps through the night and wakes between 7/8am. Her feeds were twice a day Purina pro plan puppy food. She had organic treats as rewards and a chew stick. She also had a lick pad for crate training. She LOVES toys and will keep one with her. She crates well for sleeping and while doing chores." The foster family mentioned that Hazel does have some anxiety when left alone at home.

Story
Meet Ranger! This sweet, goofy Australian Shepherd mix is guaranteed to steal your heart and brighten your home. Ranger is one of those dogs who loves everyone he meets and truly wants nothing more than to be part of a family. He’s incredibly friendly, food-motivated in the funniest way, and always ready to make you laugh with his adorable personality.Ranger does have a developmental issue in one of his front legs, and he will soon be a tripod. He’ll do wonderfully on three legs, but he will need crate rest for an extended period after his surgery. Because of that, we would love for him to go into a foster-to-adopt home beforehand—someone who can keep an eye on him and help him recover safely. Ranger is very easy to keep entertained with busy bones, frozen stuffed KONGs, peanut-butter frisbees, and pretty much anything his little chunky self can snack on. He LOVES food!He does fantastic with other dogs and has shown only normal puppy curiosity toward cats—no negative behavior at all. Ranger is a phenomenal dog with so much love to give, and he’s more than ready to start his new chapter with a family who will adore him as much as he adores them.If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, and resilient pup to love forever… Ranger is your guy. 💙🐾Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00.
