This handsome boy had a rough start to life, arriving at our shelter underweight with patchy hair, but with a little TLC and medical care his coat is already growing back and his bright spirit is shining through. Marley walks nicely on leash, knows both "sit" and "down," catches treats like a pro, and absolutely loves being brushed and showered with attention. He is a gentle, affectionate boy who could use a few extra meals to help him reach a healthy weight, but his loving personality is already impossible to miss. Marley doesn't ask for much—just a family willing to give him the care and kindness he deserves, and in return he'll reward them with loyal companionship and a heart full of love.

Hi!! I'm Millie!! I'm a young (approx 1 yr old) mini Aussie / mix and I am a happy-go-lucky girl! I weigh in at approximately 25lbs. I play great with dogs of all sizes and do well in my crate at night. I am still figuriing out full house training but on a schedule I am doing pretty well. I need to learn recall - I'm so playful that I think keep away and having you chase me is a fun game. I do need a securely fenced in yard since my recall is not the best yet. I love playing with other dogs so a furry playmate would be great. Without one, I would just need a lot of play time with my humans. Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is healed from that but needs 24/7 dog door access - he is doggie door trained. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and we have determined because of his need for 24/7 dog door access he should be adopted locally in case an adopter cannot manage his condition and he must return to the rescue. Deaf Dogs Rock!!! The amazing love, attention, loyalty and rewards far exceed the special care and needs they have. If you have a heart for the special needs and want to be rewarded 10,000 times beyond, consider adopting this precious boy. Derek is about 9ish months old and 45ish lbs but he may grow a tad more. He came from a very small rural shelter where his chances of getting out safely were slim. He LOVES to play with other dogs, lives for attention and scratches from his human, and is 110% typical velcro aussie. He needs someone that is willing to work patiently with him to learn hand signals so he better understands how to please you (that's all he wants to do). He is learning house training but has not yet mastered it (he is close - it's the excited piddles that get him). He must have a securely fenced in yard (non negotiable) and another playmate would be great. His human needs to have the time to spend with him to train him while he is still young, so he is an even more perfect adult aussie. As an aussie, he has energy and needs to be able to run and play.
