Story
Arena was rescued when she was 3 months old. She is 9 months now. She is VERY energetic and loves to play and to be with humans. She does not do well being alone. She loves swimming in the lakes and will run towards any body of water she sees. I'm relocating to the other side of the country and I was unable to find any place to rent where they would take a dog her size. I love her and I would not like to keep her inside an apartments all day while I'm at work. She would need a home with a big backyard that is fenced or in the countryside where she could run. Her breed requires A LOT of physical activity. She would be perfect for a retired couple that could give her lots of time and love.

Story
Critter Cavalry rescue is very excited to offer this most unusual dark grey and white, young 8 months old  Aussie mix girl called Kona. She has been the sweetest,  most gentle dog and is going to make some family extremely happy. At just 35 lbs. and destined to grow no more than 40 lbs. as a full grown adult, Kona Will be a perfect medium sized love muffin. When you touch her fur you will find the softest coat that is shown beautifully in unique shades of dark grey, black and featuring  white accents of color.  She is wonderful around other dogs, cats, and she really likes children.  There is a little hesitation on her part when around tall imposing men. This has to do with her early life where she was born in the backyard of a poor family that had lots of dogs that were neglected and ignored.  We think the man of the house spoke harshly and treated all the dogs with some hard-handed physical contact.  Critter Cavalry is ready to change her world and she promises to change your world too. She is very easy going and laid-back when she wants, but Kona does enjoy a fenced yard to run around in. She's crate trained and pretty much housebroken but does need more leash walking training. Sometimes when she is nervous you literally have to pick her up and move her. We have had her two weeks now and she has come a long way. She is ready for someone else to take over the love and training and reassurance that she needs.  She like a sponge with her sharp intelligence and quick mind. This tender-hearted girl is looking for a kind owner who is patient and yet strong in their commitment to help  find her confident groove in life.  She is so very young and so very moldable and she constantly looks for your affirmation and encouragement. This girl is a rare treasure to find.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention what city and state you live in. Kona is currently in Nashville Tennessee but we also adopt to families in the Northeastern states.  We have weekend transport access for a family wanting to adopt her outside of Tennessee.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  Hi there! I’m America, a two to three year old Australian Shepherd with a loving heart and a gentle spirit. I’m great with kids and love spending my time playing and snuggling with them. I’m the kind of dog who’s just as happy playing as I am relaxing by your side. All I need is a family who will give me the love and care I’ve been waiting for. There’s just one little quirk about me: I’m not a fan of chickens. For some reason, they really ruffle my fur, so a chicken-free home is definitely the best fit for me. I’m also hoping to find a home with my best friend, Yukon. She’s a sweet American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and we’ve been inseparable through all the ups and downs. We’re an amazing pair, and if you’ve got room in your heart for two dogs, I know we’d make your life twice as fun and full of love! Here’s the catch—our situation is urgent. The shelter we were in had to close down after the director was fired, and now we’re left without a permanent place to call home. A kind woman has opened up her property to help the animals in our community, but we can’t stay here forever. Yukon and I need a forever family who can give us the love and care we deserve. I know times are tough, but if you’ve got room in your heart and home for a loyal, loving companion (or two!), please consider giving me (and maybe Yukon!) a chance. I’m ready to be your new best friend, bringing energy, smiles, and a whole lot of tail wags to your life. With love and paws,America & Yukon *Guest Posting**Yukon is in the second picture If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you can't get it to work, tell us and we will email it to you. Adoption fee $150ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. September 13, 2024, 6:54 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dolly is a sweet, gentle, playful pup and is highly intelligent. She learns quickly, and wants to make her people happy. She enjoys a cuddle just as much as a romp in the backyard. She gets along with other dogs and humans, though we don't have experience with cats yet. She is potty trained and would likely learn new skills and tricks with ease. NOTE: Tennessee rescues are required to fix animals they adopt out. She is currently not fixed. If you adopt her at this time, you will be required to pay a refundable spay/neuter deposit that will be returned to you when she has been fixed. We can offer you more details at the time of adoption.  Please complete our adoption application below if you are interested in adopting this sweet girl! https://goo.gl/DGoP1LVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2024, 10:13 am
