PLEASE READ THIS FIRST. Requirements of adoption for any of our dogs includes:
ADOPTION APPLICATION. We are unable to respond to inquiries that do not have a completed adoption application attached, which can be found here. https://www.twistedbranchaussies.com/adoptions-surrenders.html
• You must have a stable work and residence history. We are unable to adopt to college students.
• You must have the consent of all persons living in the home to adopt a dog from us.
• A fully fenced yard. 6’ fence is required in most situations.
• Information on your current former pets, and a veterinarian reference.
• The time, ability, and resources to care for your adopted dog on a day to day basis, and procedures in place for when you will be away.
• Puppies who have not completed their vaccinations are not able to be adopted to apartment homes, for health reasons. The common grounds required to walk a puppy could expose them to viruses.
WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. We will not ship dogs to people we haven't met. You will have to come here and meet and interact with the dog as a condition of adoption.

Look at this gorgeous boy! His name is Oz, and he is every bit as wonderful as he is handsome. Oz is a 1 year old purebred red merle Aussie with stunning blue eyes. He is a big boy, weighing 56 pounds with a stocky bone structure, and the typical Aussie energy, but Oz is very nicely behaved when you ask him to settle down in the house. Oz is the typical Velcro Aussie who only wants to be where you are and will follow you everywhere. But he’s not clingy, and will hang out in the office or even kitchen with you and not bother you, calmly lying in the floor and happy to just be with you. Oz loves other dogs who are willing to play, and respects the space of those who don’t want to play. He also likes to play fetch with a ball, and will chase it as long as you are willing to throw it. He’s housetrained and crate trained, sleeps in his crate at night and patiently waits to go outside in the morning. He knows some obedience commands and will gladly do whatever you want for a treat (treats are the BEST!), but needs a little work on the leash, which he will pick up on quickly. Although Oz sleeps in his crate at night, he would be perfectly happy to sleep in the bed with you if you don’t mind a bit of a bed hog. He is a very nice boy with no bad habits that we have seen, but given his young age and large size, he is not suitable for a home with small children or cats, and is probably too much of a dog for a home with very small dogs. Oz is current on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventatives, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to adoption. He is available for a $400 adoption fee, and an adoption application is required.
