Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 12/2/17, and pictures were updated on 7/27/21.  Dahlia was transferred to me on 8/31/17 from the Rebel Ranch Rescue after the founder, Amy Allen, was murdered on 8/21/17.  Dahlia was one of 4 dogs still there that other rescue groups chose not to take.  She was scared and tried to chew the leash the first attempt to get her out of her dog pen, so a second leash was used as a muzzle.  She was also hiding in a hole under her dog house.  She had a male dog in the dog pen with her named Artie, who seemed to be attached to her. After being in a dog pen for about one week.  I decided to start letting Dahlia and Artie out to run, and they would chase each other around and then run back into the dog pen when done.  Dahlia also LOVES to get in water.  After another week of this, I decided to leave the gate open all the time.  They eventually moved to another section of our property.  Dahlia started climbing our 4 foot perimeter fence and running around the wooded area, but Artie has stayed on our property and made friends with the other dogs here, so he is not as attached to Dahlia as I first thought.  Dahlia got to where she came up to me to get pet, so it was easy to catch her when she was outside our property.  I put her in a small secure kennel at first with some can food, so she knew that going in that kennel meant can food when I needed to catch her again.  I now have her in a secure 6 foot tall dog pen, and she loves attention and getting pet.  She first found a way out through the chain link on top by getting on top of a dog house, but the chain link is now secure to the railing.  She needs a lot of space to run with a tall secure fence that can't be climbed over or dug under, and a source of water to get into.  It would be nice if she could get a job to do, since she is very trainable, and it might help keep her at a home. Dahlia was already spayed when transferred, and heartworm negative on 9/1/17. D.O.B.:     ? August 2013Weight:     47.6 - 9/1/17; 70.2 - 12/4/20 $25 adoption fee.April 24, 2024, 12:21 am

This is LG. The sweet boy was born feral and had to be trapped to be saved off the streets. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. It took LG a little while to warm up to people but he is on his way. He now walks on the leash and is trusting people, much due to the work of our volunteers. LG is Kacina's brother and is looking for a loving family that will provide him the love he so desperately deserves. LG was born around March 2015.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

This gorgeous girl was dumped out on a county road to fend for herself. Thankfully we were able to save her. She is a darling girl of only about 35lb and is a gorgeous chocolate with white front socks. How cute is that! We think she is an Aussie mixed with something like Brittany or Husky. She lives with girls and boys of various sizes and ages and is just about perfect! She is Heartworm negative and waiting for her spay appt but can go home with you now!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST. Requirements of adoption for any of our dogs includes: ADOPTION APPLICATION. We are unable to respond to inquiries that do not have a completed adoption application attached, which can be found here. https://www.twistedbranchaussies.com/adoptions-surrenders.html • You must have a stable work and residence history. We are unable to adopt to college students. • You must have the consent of all persons living in the home to adopt a dog from us. • A fully fenced yard. 6’ fence is required in most situations. • Information on your current former pets, and a veterinarian reference. • The time, ability, and resources to care for your adopted dog on a day to day basis, and procedures in place for when you will be away. • Puppies who have not completed their vaccinations are not able to be adopted to apartment homes, for health reasons. The common grounds required to walk a puppy could expose them to viruses. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. We will not ship dogs to people we haven't met. You will have to come here and meet and interact with the dog as a condition of adoption. ----------------------------------- Look at that face! This is Chachi, and he is a 9 month old Lab/Aussie/Border Collie mix according to his DNA test. Just imagine what an incredible breed mix that is! Chachi is curious, intelligent, and loving. He’s very focused and is already working on obedience commands. He loves to play with toys and other dogs, and would probably love some older children to play with. Although Chachi gets along with other dogs very well, we probably wouldn’t be comfortable placing him in a home with cats. Chachi currently weighs 45 pounds, so he will be a rather big boy, all the more reason to continue his training so he can be the best boy possible! Chachi is in excellent health, with a good appetite, good energy, and a beautiful coat. He has received all age-appropriate vaccinations and will be neutered before adoption. He has been dewormed, microchipped, and is current on flea and heartworm preventatives. Chachi is available for a $300 adoption fee to an active home with no small children, and is not suitable for apartment living. Adoption application is required.

Story
Look at this gorgeous boy! His name is Oz, and he is every bit as magical as the wonderful land of Oz from which he was named. Oz is a 1-year-old purebred red merle Aussie with stunning blue eyes. He is on the bigger side, weighing 56 pounds with a stocky bone structure, and the typical Aussie energy, but is very nicely behaved when you ask him to settle down in the house. Oz is the typical Velcro Aussie who only wants to be where you are and will follow you everywhere. But he’s not clingy, and will hang out in the office or even kitchen with you and not bother you, calmly lying in the floor and happy to just be with you. Oz loves other dogs who are willing to play, and respects the space of those who don’t want to play. He also likes to play fetch with a ball, and will chase it as long as you are willing to throw it. He’s housetrained and crate trained, sleeps in his crate at night and patiently waits to go outside in the morning. He knows some obedience commands and will gladly do whatever you want for a treat (treats are the BEST!). Oz had a hard first year of life. He had an owner who fell on hard times and had to move in with family, who would not accept Oz into the home. So for a while, Oz lived in a crate in a vacant home, only getting out twice a day when the owner came to feed and let him out while looking for a home for him. The second family who took him in only had him a couple of months before finding his exuberance to be too much for their three young children, all under the age of 6, so again, Oz was rehomed. Oz is sweet as sugar, but does get bouncy when excited, and can easily knock a small child over unintentionally. We suspect that Oz was bred from working lines, given his energy and endurance, so although he’s very nice, he is a lot of dog. He needs an active family and would make a great running buddy, because running is his very favorite thing! He is a very good boy, and his few No’s would be: no cats, no children under the age of 5, and no small dogs, although this is on a case-by-case basis. Oz is friendly and loves people and would be thrilled to have some older kids in his life to play with him. Oz is current on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventatives, and is microchipped. We have delayed neutering based on current recommendations for dogs his size in order to allow him optimum bone development, but he will be neutered prior to adoption. Please watch his video to see how sweet and smart he is, and his energy level when outside. You’ll fall in love! He is available for a $300 adoption fee, and an adoption application is required and can be found here. https://www.twistedbranchaussies.com/adoptions-surrenders.html
