At just 11 months old and 50 pounds, this purebred Australian Shepherd has his whole life ahead of him, and he's finally getting the chance to find the home he deserves.Leo was loved by his previous family, but they simply weren't able to provide the time and resources that an intelligent, active young Aussie needs. Wanting better for him, they made the difficult decision to let Critter Cavalry Rescue help him find the future he deserves. Since coming into rescue, Leo has been neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and is now ready to begin the next chapter of his life.His foster family has quickly discovered what a wonderful dog he is. Leo loves every minute of playing with his Boxer and German Shepherd foster siblings, happily running through the yard before settling down for a well-earned nap beside his people. He is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and always looking for the next adventure. Like many Australian Shepherds, he thrives when his mind is engaged and when he's included as part of the family. Whether it's hiking, training, playing fetch, or simply tagging along wherever life takes you, Leo is happiest when he's sharing those moments with his people.What Leo needs most isn't perfection—it's commitment. He's looking for an active home with someone who understands that young herding dogs flourish with exercise, positive training, and plenty of love.
