After a rough start to life, these Aussie mix puppies are thriving in their foster home. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.

Darby is an 8-month-old Aussie/Heeler mix! Born in rescue with her 7 siblings, Darby was a happy girl, living and playing with her littermates. However, transporting her to her adoptive home several hundred miles away was a traumatic experience for Darby, and she arrived terrified of everyone she met. Because she expresses her fear, we feel a home with no children is appropriate, at least until she gets past this period. We are hoping for a home in the PA/NJ area, as we work with a trainer in Doylestown, PA who will continue to assist her in adjusting her to her new home. (Working with your own trainer is also an option. We are confident that this is fixable with a little work.) We need a special, patient person for this girl while she works through her issues. So I'm kinda of a big deal with my super cute short tail! I love to play and romp and entertain you with my playfulness! Afterward, we could go on long walks and you could help me learn how to walk better on the leash. I'll point out all the unfamiliar smells on our walks and help you get your steps in each day! It's a win for us both! I'd much prefer walking on trails than in a neighborhood where I might come across other canines. My social skills are rusty so I could really benefit from an adopter with experience training me how to walk better on a leash. I love walks oh so much! Once I get my wiggles out, I'd be happy to snuggle in your lap for cuddles! I know sit and down and paw! I do love people and can be very affectionate, but at home I would thrive with having you all to myself! When it's time for bed, I'm okay sleeping in a crate. Or if you have to leave me during the day, I can handle that too. I'll be fine until it's time to head outside and do my business! Oh and I really hope you have one of those soft brushes to keep me handsome! My fluffy fur changes twice a year and I could really use your help making sure I look my best!
