Story
Sunny is a great adult girl who is 6 years young, perfect to know all the rules but enough energy to do all the activities. Sunny enjoys hiking as much a binge watching your favorite show, as long as you give her pets. Sunny can be a bit bossy with unruly dogs, but enjoys well mannered dog friends. Sunny has perfect house manners and is very accustomed to sleeping in my bed, and will expect this level of comfort in her new home too. :)

Story
Meet Cash, a 2 year old Aussie/ Blue Heeler mix weighing 45lbs. Cash's long, scruffy, black and white ticked coat makes him one handsome devil! He is a very loving boy who was surrendered to the shelter, but it can’t be because of Cash’s behavior. He’s great! Cash loves playing with all kinds of toys and rather likes having a companion to play with! He is also good with cats and children! Cash does wonderfully walking on leash, and he gives the best kisses! He would make a delightful family dog! (ME, 4/5/23) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $375 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  June 4, 2023, 12:09 pm

Story
Star’s owner (a close family member) passed away the other week. We have been taking care of her because she is like family but unfortunately she is dog aggressive and cannot be integrated with our dogs and cats. Therefore we would like to find a quiet home for her. She is a very friendly and well behaved dog. She loves humans and would do great in a single pet home where someone is home most of the time. She is very routine driven and does become anxious in busy households. (We currently have house remodeling going on and we can see it stresses her out). She is leash and crate trained (we find her going in a crate on her own to nap). She doesn’t wander off too far if off leash. She doesn’t chase deer. She is used to getting on the couch to hang with people and she will sleep in the bed with you if allowed, but she will also sleep on the floor if told. She really just wants to be around people in a quiet environment (preferably with few stairs as she is getting older)

Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
He’s an Australian shepheard/ blue heeler mix, born October 14th, 2022, he’s a very sweet boy, 6 months old, not aggressive whatsoever, HIGH ANXIETY, he’s scared of people, especially men, he does VERY well with other dogs, he is not housebroken fully but has not made a mess home alone with another dog in the house, he will alert to go out once he sees how your dog alerts, he will destroy whatever crate you try to put him in if you leave him home alone in it. and does not respond to his name, does not take treats often until he’s comfortable with you and will not eat if someone is nearby. I truthfully hate to let him go but he’s a special case and just outright too much work for me, He does not do well at all on car rides, he will drool heavily and throw up. In my mind the right home would have other dogs, someone with plenty of experience dealing with high anxiety animals, a FENCED yard (he’s a runner) and somebody in the home at all times.

Story
Yankee!! He's great with kids, all people, all dogs. According to his foster....He does love to play with other dogs but he also loves his humans. Would be great for an active person or family who would take him on long walks (he easily did three miles today with my daughter and she would have gone more for him but my lab who was also with her was dying!), hikes, trail walks, etc. He is a FUN dog! Up for any adventure and super car companion. He's also great in his crate at night. Not a peep! He is so easy....totally crate trained, travels fine in the car, eats fine, wags his tail while he eats, no food aggression (eats in the same room as my labs, and I can stroke his back while he eats). He is not food/treat focused...tends to leave milk bones on the floor, chew bones he leaves in the yard. Yankee has a very soft mouth. He just needs basic training on come, sit, leash walking, jumping on people, counters. He's really a quite a gem! The adoption fee for this dog is $350 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Coco-Australian Shepard male, ~ 2 yr. old ( May 2023) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Coco came to Rescue from a family who were overwhelmed with too many dogs. He's known a life of love and is a very sweet, friendly guy. Coco is good with other dogs and is used to living in a family setting. That includes children, other dogs, cats and some farm animals. We'll know more about him as he settles in at his new foster home. A home with experience with herding dogs is preferred, as he's typical to his breed, active and energetic. He will love a home that helps keep him stimulated both mentally and physically. Coco's adoption fee is $350. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Meet Max, a charming 7-year-old cattle dog mix with a beautiful brindle coat. Max is an absolute sweetheart who adores people and is known for his snuggling skills. He's the perfect companion for cozy evenings on the couch or long walks in the park. Max has received all his vaccines and is in excellent health with no known medical issues. He is fully house-trained, making him an easy addition to any home. While we're uncertain about his experience with children, his gentle and affectionate nature suggests he could be a great fit for adults. Max may require a slow introduction to other dogs, but with time and patience, he could potentially become friends with a fur sibling. If you're looking to adopt two furry companions, Max's fur sibling, Junior, is also in need of a loving home. However, they can be adopted separately if that better suits your situation. These wonderful dogs are currently seeking a new home due to their owner's illness and hospitalization.
