Story
Cowboy here came to the shelter as a stray, he was hanging around the horse corrals just doing what he does best, watching his friends and keeping them safe. Cowboy has been a little skittish but will let you hold him and does not seem to mind other dogs. But a meet and greet will need to be done if you have other dogs in the house. Please come by and meet Cowboy. 307-352-1455

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fletcher is a fit, active boy who would love to find a home where he could both cuddle up on the couch and head out on hikes with his person. He's a very sweet boy and has been waiting patiently for a long time for a home where he can bond to his forever family. Fletch and his littermates contracted Parvo at a very early age; everybody recovered but this meant that Fletcher was quarantined for a while and he missed out on some of those critical weeks of puppy socialization with lots of people. He is timid by nature and is shy with new people but will warm up given a little time. He's recently made great strides with relaxing around new people in our home. He's learned that guests often have goodies! This summer he hopes to go on excursions to town for ice cream.  He really enjoys his two dog companions; however, we feel that he would also adjust well to being an only dog. He'd love to be the center of attention all the time! Fletchie's attended two training classes in basic obedience and he really enjoys doing short training sessions at home with lots of treats. He's very eager to please his person. Fletch isn't a big chewer, doesn't shed much and is happy to spend time in his crate with his toys when necessary.  He'll even bring some of the toys he takes outside back inside, so you don't have to go out and collect them all. (We need to work on actually putting them back in the toy box.) And, once he bonds with his caregivers, he is the sweetest, warmest guy in the world. He’ll sit on your lap, give kisses like crazy and cuddle with you forever. ** Fletcher requires a fenced yardVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes up to 7 days.  Keep in mind, the kitten/cat you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals.   Due to COVID-19, we are highly encouraging foster homes and adopters to speak with one another via phone or video chat to limit in-person contact. If meeting in person at a foster home or at our adoption center, everyone is encouraged to wear masks and socially distance.   Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100 % foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.    **Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email Dogs@laramieanimals.org** May 29, 2023, 9:55 pm
