Story
I adopted Ruby in 2021 from Larimer Humane Society in Colorado. At the time I was single and was able to provide her with a home and all the attention she needed. Once I got into a relationship another pet came along. I knew she wasn't good with other dogs from the adoption history but the interactions I had with friend's dogs are good as long as they are calm dogs. She is aging and is now just about 8 years old and she is getting a bit more temperamental around other animals. She is a sweetheart and loves playing and cuddling. She loves attention and will do anything to spend time with you! She is kennel trained but does not need to be. She is an amazing dog, and very well trained too. I would much rather rehome her - I want her to go to a great home. She is up to date on all vaccines, and she had a clean bill of health from the vet in 2025.

Story
Winchester is amazing at fetch! He gets hyper-focused on the toy/ball and is pretty good at tracking it down after it's been thrown. Best part is, he brings the toy/ball back to you! He doesn't seem overly protective of toys, but he will steal toys from his dog-siblings; he doesn't show aggression when a known human takes a toy from him (same with food, he is not aggressive or protective). He does ok on a leash, pulls a little but otherwise does well. He does well on car rides; at first he is anxious but will quickly calm down and eventually just sleep on the floor. Once the vehicle stops, he will stand up and be alert to changes but otherwise he does great. Winchester does have anxiety, and would do best in a home that has very little changes (few guests, limited movement/pace) but would enjoy an owner who takes him on walks, plays with him, and lets him channel his energy in the backyard most days of the week. He would probably do best in a home without children or cats.

Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Cayse! He is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Just look at that little tail nubbin'! Cayse is a joy to have around and is such a smart guy. He really enjoys attention from people and will gladly accept a belly rub on any given day. Cayse does ok with other dogs, but his natural herding instincts sometimes override his good boy brain, and he starts nipping at the heels of the other dogs. Some dogs may not appreciate his play style. Small creatures he sees as prey, so it's best he doesn't go to a home with cats around or chickens! He will need a secure 6' fence that is made of wood or vinyl. He has proved that he can climb a chain link fence. Especially if there is a small creature just on the other side. He is tempted to check if the grass is indeed greener on the other side. If you’re looking for a loyal & loving companion who would excel in walks, jogs, agility fun, Cayse might be your match. Apply to meet him today. He’ll be graduating near the middle of March!

His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Summit is up for just about anything! He is ready to play all day or lounge around cuddled up on the couch with you. He wants attention & love from just about anyone looking to give it. He really likes to play with other dogs too. He may need reminders to not be rough and to take breaks, but he listens well. While we think he'll do fine with kids - he may jump on them & not realize he can knock them down. When we introduced Summit to our cat, he didn't seem to care. We do think with supervision and time he should be able to successfully live with them. He is crate trained, and it's something we highly recommend for him. He's shown us he can be a naughty puppy when he is left to his own devices. Summit is a really happy go lucky pup looking for a fresh start. He might just be what you are looking for. He’ll be graduating near the middle of March! Apply to meet him today!

Story
Wilbur is currently located at the Everyday Adoption Center in Westminster (10460 Town Center Dr, Westminster, CO, 80021) and can be visited from 10am-6pm Sat/Sun and 12pm-7pm Mon-Fri! Email our Everyday Adoption Center team at EAC@savinganimalstoday.org for more information! Who is that stunning boy trotting into the flowers? Well, that’s Wilbur of course! Wilbur is an adorable pup who has stories to tell. He’ll tell you all about his dreams and aspirations to be the bestest boy ever (and just how hot it was in Texas)! Wilbur is a young pup, and true to his breeds (80% Australian Shepherd, 20% Mini American Shepherd), still has puppy energy to spare. Wilbur can be a bit jumpy; he just loves hugs so so much!! He would do best in an experienced home where he can truly be himself, and learn just how humans work. To add to his quirky nature, Wilbur is deaf! He also doesn't have the greatest eyesight (if only doggy glasses were a thing!!), so his ideal home would be with a family that understands that he learns a bit differently from other pups. He has been quick to pick up on hand signals, and is incredibly smart. He already knows sit, down, shake, and place! Wilbur has never met a person or dog he didn't love, in fact he's a total rockstar with every canine companion he meets!! He would be the perfect companion to another playful pup. Energetic and eager to please, Wilbur is ready to romp around your home with loads of treats and toys beside him, but more importantly, ready to settle into a home that loves as much as he does.
