Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Toby! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Toby is a sensitive soul. He didn't have the easiest start to life. He was very skinny when he arrived at another Wyoming shelter. So, understandably, he can be a bit guarded around his food. He sometimes wants to be left alone in his kennel to chew on his bones in peace. Due to this, Toby should not go to a home with small kids. He likes to play with his rope and ball when he is outside. When there are multiple dogs out, he tends to stay by his human. If it's just him and one other dog, he does well playing with them. Before Toby sent to PACK, he lived with cats in his foster home. He did fine around them. When it comes to kenneling, he prefers his kennel to be covered 1/2 way. But if it is, he does well in his kennel. Toby won't be the dog to greet everyone and run up to strangers. He's a bit more reserved. But once he knows you and knows you're safe, he will be bonded to you! He will graduate towards the end of July. If you think you and Toby may hit it off, apply to meet him today!

*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Domino! She is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is almost ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Domino is ready to find her new jogging partner. She has enjoyed the exercise she has gotten at the program. She's also good around other dogs. If their energy is extremely high, she becomes mouthy with them, but overall she does great. She's played with some smaller puppies and rolls on the ground with them. Domino also enjoys a good game of fetch... and sometimes even brings it back! Domino is a little nervous/unsure about loud noises (doors slamming, loud talking/yelling, or thunder). She retreats from that area and gives a little woof when she is unsure of the environment. Slowly introducing her to new areas and sounds will be helpful for her. Domino is great in her kennel and doesn't mind hanging out there when her people are away. She seems to be 100% house trained as well. When we tested her with cats, she ignored them. We can retest her when she graduates if you have a cat and are interested. She's set to graduate at the end of July. If you're up for an exercise buddy or another companion for your dog, she may be the one! Apply to meet her today!

Story
If Charlie were a person, he would be described as having good boundaries. Charlie is not fond of new people in his life. He does not want people to just come up to him and try to pet him. And he will make his stance on this known to someone who tries. He truly is a very good dog, he just has strong preferences and a need for his preferences to be respected. He gets along with other dogs, and cats. He is absolutely amazing with my 8 month old. He is very protective of me, and if I had the ability to train his response to strangers, and mostly men, out of him, I would. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to put that kind of time into him, and never will be. Charlie will snap at strangers who try to pet him. He also loves to run, and in the right hands, would likely do extremely well in obstacle courses, he has an amazing jump. He will come to you when he is ready for it, unfortunately there are a lot of kids in my life and they struggle to understand that.

Story
Bear and Skipper need a new home due to my son's traumatic brain injury. He can no longer tolerate the unpredictability of animals. The are both so special and wonderful. It breaks my heart to rehome them, but we must for our son. A ton of information can be found about them here: https://info(xxx) xxx-xxxx .wixsite.com/bear-and-skipper Bear is a pure bred English Golden and Skipper is a border collie mix. Bear is a typical goofy, loving Golden. Skipper is super smart, with some anxiety issues that the foster mom is working on with him. He is fine when in a familiar setting, skeptical of strangers, but quickly warms to them. They are wonderful and sweet dogs and currently being fostered in Ault, CO.

Story
Banjo is a sweet and cuddly guy! This cutie is a high-energy and smart working breed mix, so he will need an active adopter who understands how to provide mental stimulation in addition to physical exercise. He needs a home with no small children, and older children must understand and be committed to respectful handling practices. Banjo knows sit and seems to be potty trained and crate trained, but he could use more training to have the tools necessary to thrive in his new home. Banjo is an affectionate guy, but needs an adopter who will respect his boundaries and only cuddle on his terms. He only likes hugs when he initiates. :) ADOPTION FEE: $425 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

These pups are in Cheyenne, Wyoming too!

Story
Hi, we have had Ruby for almost 5 months. We got her from a family friend who was in desperate need of getting rid of her as his dog was trying to harm her. We took her in, in consideration we could get her trained as an emotional service animal for our 4 year old special needs child. Ruby is very possessive (which is good and bad), as she nips our children, while thinking she’s protecting me. My children have no interest in her and she may be jealous of them, but she’s a very timid dog. We’re not sure how she was treated in her previous home, but we are very scared she might hurt our kids, thinking they’re going to hurt me. She is very scared of everything and will not use the bathroom outside if there’s a distraction, as she’ll bark. So much so, if any distraction, such as kids or other animals, get close to her, she will bark so much, her bark will crack and she’ll urinate. I’m unsure of what to do, and the vet recommended a distraction bag, and it still hasn’t been a success.

Story
This heeler gal is looking for a new home. If you play fetch with her she will become your best friend. Fetch is her favorite thing ever! Maggie has great skills in: -Manners! She knows how to sit, stay, place, and kennel with the best of them! She went to our PACK Program and learned all kinds of fun things. -Snuggling! She enjoys a good snuggle with her people after a game of fetch. -Playtime! Maggie likes to play with her humans the most. If toys are put up and the dog is submissive, she may get along with them. If your home has kids older than 10 (little ones freak her out a bit), and are looking for a dog to play fetch with, she may be a good fit for you. She doesn't love kitty cats, so it's best she isn't in a home with them. When it comes to the other dogs, we will do a dog meeting to make sure it's a match. She would also thrive being the only queen in the house. Apply to meet this beauty today!
