Story
Delilah is housetrained, kennel trained, and walks well on a leash. She is a very intelligent and sweet young lady with a friendly personality that will warm up to everyone. Delilah gets along with children and other dogs but is not good with cats. She loves chasing squirrels and playing outside with other dogs but her favorite pastime is snuggling on the couch. Delilah can easily jump a 4ft fence to chase bunnies, so it's recommended that any future adopter have a 5-6+ft fence or be in a position to monitor her when she's outside. She would do best with an active family and/or other playful dogs in the home. Delilah is a 4-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-kill shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX/heartworm tested negative, and spayed. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel-trained, and housebroken. Delilah can easily jump a 4ft fence to chase bunnies, so it's recommended that any future adopter have a 5-6+ft fence or be in a position to monitor her when she's outside. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home. Adoption information: The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, September 30. We are offering private adoption appointments for individual animals September 25-October 1.* For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.

Hi there! My name is Boston and I am so glad you clicked on me! I am a bit of a miracle pup-- when I arrived my pelvis was broken and my leg had a fracture as well. They think I was hit by a car. The nice folks at Animal Friends Alliance fixed me up and now I am on the road to recovery-- I am just looking for a home to call my own and people who want me to be theirs so I can have the total package! I am great with other dogs and friendly with people of all ages. Will you be my person? Stop by the Taft shelter today and ask for Boston!

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Aquila is an approximately 12 years old, miniature Australian Shepherd. She was raised as an outside dog on the ranch in Wyoming. She is NOT house/kennel trained. She can jump lower fences so a secure yard with 6'+ fences is necessary. She was the sole dog to my grandparents, so she does not get along with other dogs/cats for the most part and has had no exposure to small children. She cannot be in a home with poultry or livestock, as she has killed a significant # of my chickens and will chase livestock with no recall (during her lifespan my grandparents did not have livestock on the place to behavior train her to not chase/kill them). She is very friendly to people but definitely needs to have an "alpha" person in her life. I have had her since March when my grandparents were sick. Ideal home will be: Companion home that will allow her to be an outside only dog with adequate housing/shelter, tall/secure fences, without any other animals or access to animals/livestock.

Story
Cooper is a 3 yr old Australian Shepherd who weighs around 50 lbs. He was found as a stray in Texas and just arrived in Colorado to find his forever home. He is housebroken with a dog door and does well in a kennel. Cooper LOVES to play fetch and is an expert at it?! He will sit, and goes right into his kennel easily… (especially for a treat). He does need a 6 foot fence in his new home. He gets along with all dogs and people. Cooper is currently located in Windsor.

Story
We adopted Rascal when he was 5. He is now 9 years old and still has more energy than ever. He is a cattle dog/Australian shepherd/border Collie mix. He loves people and is super sweet. He loves walks, camping, hikes, and would love to go on many exercise adventures. He is good with kids, but does not prefer them so our desire is for a single adult or couple to adopt him so he can get all your attention and love. He is a "Velcro" doggy and loves to be loved on without contending for affection of kids. He does well with other dogs. He likes to chase other animals. Sometimes he does not like to listen if he is upset and can have a mind of his own if he isn't feeling like he has enough exercise or attention. He is super sweet and loves comfy spots. He is up to date on rabies shots but not other vaccines. We don't feel he is getting all the attention he needs to thrive and be as happy as he could be.

What Kiowa knows:1. To elicit a belly rub, don't roll, just FALL over with enthusiasm.2. That women are awesome and trustworthy and fun, and men can be too, but it will take a while before he really warms up. 3. Routines provide predictability and comfort.4. ""No"" - for the most part.5. LITTLE pieces of boneless turkey are excellent motivators.6. That when he goes outside, he's supposed to poop and pee.7. Other dogs are fun; children are not.8. That the coffee pot, dishwasher, garage door, are harmless, but should be regarded with suspicion. What Kiowa is learning:1. To walk on the leash and not pull.2. To take treats sweetly.3. Playing is okay! Toys are FUN!What is confusing for Kiowa:1. The ghost dogs in the television, sliding glass doors and other reflective surfaces.2. Why men change clothes - is it the same man in the morning as it is in the evening? In all seriousness, this 30-35 pound, 2 y.o., soft, loveable boy is at his max capacity for new stimuli right now but shows an amazing capacity to be a sweet, snuggly, confident guy. Because life on the rez can be rough going, he can react with a big boy bark when he's afraid. He's a quick learner and will need a home with dog friends and human companions that are loving but firm and consistent so as to build the trust that he needs to thrive. This animal is at the shelter. If you would like to meet this animal, the shelter is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily. Please go to www.souldog.org to fill out an adoption application prior to coming in to save some time.If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. If you rent, you must provide proof animals are allowed. We will contact references. When submitting your adoption application make sure to submit a good clear picture of your living room, kitchen, and yard.Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. Story
Meet Apollo Junior. This boy is a staff favorite for obvious reasons. He is cute and mellow. He loves to go for walks and to play a little. He is selective with which other dogs he likes, but if they are nice to him, he is nice to them. He is about 4 and a half years old, and almost 60lbs. He has been with us over 7 months and is ready to go to his forever home! He has a whole lot of love to give but for some reason he just keeps being overlooked. As much as we love seeing him around, we would love it if he had a place to call his own. This animal is in a foster home. First found with a severe case of manage, this gorgeous and sweet boy didn't let that stop him! NO!Doolkai is a happy boy and a puppy at heart. Doolkai is super curious and playful and is overall very well mannered. He does well in the car, walks fantastic on leash, is not reactive to sounds and does not resource guard. His food motivation and his good listening skills make him very easy to train, plus he is very respectful of boundaries when it comes to your personal space and your home. Overall, this boy would make an amazing companion for anyone willing to give him a second chance at life…and who can say no to those eyes?? I mean talk about BABY BLUES!***This animal is currently waiting for its forever home at our shelter in Fort Lupton, Colorado. Story
This pups adoption fee has partially been sponsored by All Aboard! The new adoption fee is reflected on the profile. Maggie is such a sweet and goofy girl! She loves to play and give hugs to everyone she meets. My favorite part about her is her cute nub tail wiggling with excitement. We've made great progress with her potty training and she sleeps in her crate at night with no problem. Maggie gets along with every dog she meets and would love another sibling to help continue to thrive in a loving home environment. She LOVES belly rubs! Maggie was found between two mattresses trying to eat her own tail off because she was so uncomfortable and COVERED in maggots. This sweet girl has since had her tail amputated and is healing so well!
