Story
Meet Eunice! Eunice is an absolutely fantastic 7.5 yr old Bulldog - Boston Terrier mix who currently weighs 57 pounds. Eunice may have started her life as a puppy mill survivor, but her days of being a mill mom are over and now its time for this lady to enjoy the finer things in life! Eunice has been an absolute dream for her foster parents and siblings! She's house trained, doesn't mind her crate and will come and from it as she pleases and spends a fair bit of her time in there on her own. She loves running in the backyard with her foster siblings and is quick to return inside for her good girl treats and some belly scratches. She walks great on a leash, but long walks aren't really her forte. Eunice loves her people, but unlike most pups she loves her own space a whole lot too! Eunice isn't really a cuddle bug, she has flat out told her foster mom no to cuddling in bed and reading on a rainy day! She will hop on the couch out of excitement briefly with the other dogs when returning home, but then she's back to either her bed in front of the tv or her in her bed in the dinning room. She loves pets, and loves coming up to her people for attention, and she isn't shy about quickly giving her belly to you for more love! Though she won't entirely be the couch potato cuddling with you, but she sure will happily snuggle in a cozy bed next to you! Eunice just needs a nice quiet home where she can continue out her retirement and enjoy the good life. She wouldn't mind a friendly companion, but one also isn't necessary for her as she is a rather independent lady. Her perfect day consists of some walks outside into the yard to just look over the scenery, a calm breakfast and some naps. After that an afternoon of a short half a street walk to the stop sign and back again, some more yard hangs and then more naps till dinner and that is Eunice's perfect day. Looking for a laid back, snoozy lady? Have the perfect retirement home? Eunice might be your gal! Eunice is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450. Eunice is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Name: Alessia Age: Maybe 3 years old but it’s just a number Breed: Old English Bulldog mix Gender: Spayed female Weight: 70 lbs (don’t judge me, I’m a healthy eater) Occupation: Professional garbage disposal and part-time body guard * I poop outside but I watch you clean it up * I walk humans very well on a leash * I watch football, Bengals fan, Who Dey! * I run from vacuum cleaners and hair dryers * I fart then try to blame it on foster mom * I coerce small children into my crate Foster mom says I’m a good girl and well mannered. I’ve never even asked to sit on the furniture because I’d rather chill in my crate or on my own bed. I love humans, especially small children. I prefer to be the only pet because I worry that other dogs may hurt my foster mom and I’m very protective of her. I love to play outside when the sun is shining but I don’t like going outside in the rain because I’m sweet as sugar and might melt if I get wet. Every human I meet says I’m an awesome dog, which I’m a little offended because I identify as a beautiful princess. Are you a couch potato?? Do you like short walks & long naps in front of the tv?? Enjoy sunbathing by the pool but not a fan of actually getting your hair wet?? Do you love snacks?? If so, Shai is your spirit animal!!  Shai is around 8 years old and has 2 speeds….  Short walk & long naps!! She is by no means an old lady….. she can still kick up a zoomie when the mood strikes!!  She loves food (& is shaped a bit like a potato), she likes toys, loves napping on the couch & will do anything for a treat….. ( peep this perfect sit on a bale of straw… trust me that’s all her & the treats…. I’m not a good dog trainer!!)  Shai is wonderful with dogs, totally fine in a crate & is waiting for her soul mate!! She thinks it’s YOU!!  Apply to adopt her today!! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 27, 2024, 12:42 pm
