This sweet old man is in need of his forever home. He's still very youthful in his own mind, is a great problem solver, and a lover that enjoys attention and cuddles. He's also strongly bonded with his 6 yr old daughter, Baby. I'd like to rehome them together. His owner (a coworker of mine) will not take him back from me despite knowing it's not a good fit. I've had them for about 6 weeks now. He and my cat are so obsessed with getting to each other to fight, that it keeps the whole house on egg shells day and night. I'm exhausted, the animals are stressed, and my kids are unable to relax at home due to the severity of this situation. I cannot afford to have these animals injure each other, and I certainly don't want them in that position in the first place. Please consider these little potatoes. They deserve to retire in a much more calm environment than I am able to give them.

He is a medium sized boy, 35-45 pounds, short stout and built like a cement block. He is absolutely obsessed with his toys and loves to play. He gets along with other dogs and is a good boy. He is protective of his kennel. Stray Haven in an effort to help with the overcapacity of one of their partnering rescues, is crossposting the adoptable pets. Ripley County Humane Society is a beautiful non kill campus, comprised of three buildings on 13 sprawling acres in Osgood Indiana. Due to the remote location, they don't show up in the searches commonly made by adopters because they are just outside for the 30 mile radius of Cincinnati OH, Indianapolis IN and Louisville KY. Smoosh face alert!!! If you want a cutie, patootie smoosh face then look no further. Alessia aka Ruka is one of the sweetest, loving (craves affection) and gentlest dogs ever met. She is excellent with all humans... even the little kind. As of now it is unknown how well she would get along with other dogs. She has shown absolutely no aggression towards any dogs so as a precaution, I would recommend using a muzzle. Alessia loves being told she's a good girl. Secretly, I think she thinks she is a Princess. She is very good getting her face washed and going for car rides. You will often find Alessia sitting (like a human) and watching TV with her little human friends. AND Alessia, of course, loves TREATS!!! Some more great things about Alessia is she is crate and house trained. She's such an amazing dog and has the cutest personality. She has the absolute cutest wiggle butt ever!!! Itzy Bitzy — Foster Dog extraordinaire!! Itzy Bitzy is a very sweet, loving Bull Terrier who absolutely adores her humans. She is generally a very quiet, well-mannered girl, although recently she has found her bark and has started using it a bit more than before. She is not reliably house or kennel trained, as she does not signal when she needs to go outside. While she does know how to use a doggy door, she will still have accidents in the home. It also appears she may have been previously trained to use puppy pads, as she often seeks out soft surfaces such as towels, blankets, and dog beds to urinate on. Because of this, she will need continued guidance and supervision in a home environment. Itzy is very food motivated and has mastered the art of sitting politely for snacks. In fact, if you have food in your hand, she may decide to sit before you even ask! She loves attention and is playful when you engage with her, but she isn’t overly energetic or demanding. She does best as the only dog in the home. Itzy is dog-selective and can become extremely reactive around other dogs, so a home without other pets would be the safest and happiest environment for her. Aside from her occasional new interest in barking, she is still generally a quiet girl in the home. Itzy does have some eye conditions that will likely require lifelong medication, but she doesn’t let that stop her from being her sweet, playful self.
