A GENEROUS DONOR HAS COVERED THIS DOG'S VET COSTS, GIVING YOU A REDUCED ADOPTION FEE! Virginia was dumped out pregnant and despite going up to several homes and people, no one tried to help. She eventually wandered up to an empty house to have her three babies and thankfully someone finally took pity and reach out to get her help. Now Virginia and two of her puppies - Violet & Vince - are still waiting for families of their own and they are all on the URGENT list as their shelter is over full and they are running out of time. This girl is going to make someone a fabulous companion! She walks very well on a leash and is learning not to pull. She is potty-trained and is active but not hyper, does not jump, nor does she guard her food or toys. Virginia LOVES to go for car rides, especially if there's a burger and a pup-cup involved. And when she is on outings, she is the perfect lady when walking around the store - she was polite, greeted everyone, picked out a chew toy and treats. She takes a treat ever-so-gently and is just an overall "Good Girl!" Her absolute favorite thing is playing with her tennis ball or squeaky ball!! No stuffy toys for this girl. She loves to be with her person but if you are busy, she is content to play by herself too. Virginia does well with kids and loves every human she meets but she does not love other dogs, and we recommend she be an only-pet home. Virginia is looking for a family to include her on their adventures and show her all the love this mama dog deserves!! This girl is an absolute LOVE and deserves the best home ever! Meet Smoke the 3.5yr Bulldog/Exotic Bully mix! Smoke has had quite the medical journey over the past year. You would never be able to tell with how happy and sweet of a boy he is. He is looking for a special family who is willing to love him and keep up with his medical condition and needs. In return, he promises to be the best and most loyal companion! Smoke suffers from IBD. Unfortunately, the severity of his condition has resulted in him having multiple rectal prolapses over the past 6mths. His last prolapse was in early April of this year. To prevent another occurrence, he is on a very strict prescription diet and daily laxatives to keep his stool as consistent as possible. His vet strongly recommends that he receives a specialized coloplexy surgery to further prevent any prolapses in the future. Despite his health challenges, Smoke is a goofy and playful boy. He is your typical bulldog and is mostly lazy, although he does get bursts of energy throughout the day. He loves laying around with his favorite toys and going for short walks. He also loves getting belly scratches! Smoke absolutely loves every person he meets, although sometimes doesn't have the best manners when greeting new people. He has been working hard on not jumping up on people. Because of his bulldog bulldozing ways, we do not recommend him in a home with small children. Smoke is dog selective and tends to not like large breed friends or dominant male dogs. He would do best in an only pet household, or a household with a submissive female sibling. He has not been tested with cats. Smoke is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is also house trained and crate trained. I can’t wait to greet every human I meet...they may have food! I have met other dogs and seem to like them just fine. I’m really pretty easy going and indifferent to their presence even the rowdy whippersnappers don’t bother me too much. I am more focused on where the people are. My tail is constantly wagging with excitement to make new friends. With my foster dad, I have met a few cats and we seem to do fine. Full disclosure, we just visited with each other, but I haven’t lived with cats in my foster home. I was pretty indifferent to their presence. Alright alright I’ll admit that I may have put on a few lbs over the years. Yeah I’m a little round in the middle. Weighing in at 87 lbs of low-riding bulldog mix. Maybe we can work on getting in better shape together? I’m a distinguished gentleman...around 8 years old but don’t let my age fool you. I’m still up for a good time. My favorite pastime is being close to you. We can watch some tv on the couch, snuggle up close, or go for short leisure walks around the neighborhood. I can be a great listener. Lets go for a nice stroll down memory lane…especially if you pet me too! I am a go with the flow type of guy so my new family will need to be cool with going with the flow with me.
