I’m an 8-year-old Boxer/English Bulldog mix, about 40 pounds of calm, steady love. I adore people—especially kids! I live with a baby right now and I’m gentle and sweet with little ones. Humans are my favorite, hands down. I’ll be honest: I don’t do well with other animals. No dogs, no cats—just me, please. My first home made me this way, and my people adopted me knowing I need to be the only pet. But if you’re looking for just one loyal dog to love, I’ll be your girl. I can handle stairs and hop in and out of the car like a champ. At home, I’m low-maintenance and independent—I don’t play with toys much, I mostly enjoy eating, sleeping, and being near my people (kind of like a cat in a dog’s body!). I’m house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and happy spending up to 6 hours alone while you’re at work. My favorite things? Walks (though I can bark or lunge if I see other dogs), snuggles, car rides, and sunbathing in a backyard or on a patio. A home with a safe outdoor space where I can relax in the sun would make me so happy. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who just wants to be your one and only, I might be the perfect match for you.

All fees listed include transport fees.** In an unfair turn of events, Trudy found herself in need of rescue when she was surrendered by a breeder. She is good with other dogs, however she is possessive of food and toys around other dogs. So, we feel she would do best in a home by herself. Trudy does fine on walk with other dogs and hanging out with them as long as there is no toys or food involved. She loves hanging out with people and she is good with kids. Trudy truly loves to explore and is always up for an adventure, so if you're looking for an energetic and fun-loving dog, then she is the one for you. Trudy deserves a new leash on life and can't wait to start the next leg of her journey with you! The vet said she is around 3 years old, but we think she might be older. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Zoey 6 years, spayed female, 60 lbs Pit Bull Zoey is a sweet, goofy, soulful, food loving middle-aged gal who just wants to hang out and be loved. She 's a wonderful companion and she has stolen her foster-pawrent 's heart. She is a bit goofy and makes her foster laugh frequently with her antics. POTTY TRAINING: Zoey is fully potty trained with access to the backyard through a doggie door at her foster home. CRATE TRAINING: Zoey will go into her kennel if you ask her to however she would prefer not to. Her foster says she has earned her trust to be out and about at home without causing any issues. She mostly naps while she waits for the humans to return. LIKES: Zoey loves food and treats of all kinds (she does need to use a slow feeder bowl when eating her meals because she loves her food maybe a little too much!). She likes to have bones and other hard chews and one favorite squeaker toy that she will get pretty excited about and carries that around the house. Zoey also Loves to go for walks - a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood is perfectly acceptable in her book. But beware of her strength if there 's something she really wants to check out. She prefers a harness that can be put on without going over her head (her foster will share the type she uses with any potential adopter). Zoey loves to go for car rides and is an excellent passenger, and she enjoys being able to stick her nose out the window. Mostly, Zoey loves being near her people. She 'll follow you around the house and lounge/take a nap while you 're doing something. When she 's really ready to sleep, she 'll go curl up in bed and make a nest among the soft pillows. She loves to be loved on and give kisses. OTHER/MISC: She gets along with other dogs with proper introductions. Typical bully breed fashion, she is very vocal (rumbly, grumbly, growly sounds) when she plays. Per her previous owner she does have a history of being attacked at a dog park so if a dog does come on a little too strong or tries to bully her, she will defend herself. With proper introductions, she gets along fine with other dogs. She snuffles and snarfs and snorts around the house and when she gets excited or it 's feeding time, she grunts even more. When she 's sleeping, she snores enough to rival that of a full grown man. She has sensitive skin and seems to do best on a sensitive skin diet with no chicken. GIVE ME A SLICE OF THAT MEATLOAF! With a name fitting of his personality, meet Meatloaf! A chunky good ol’ boy who specializes in eating, sleeping, and tooting. LOL. He rocks a onesie like no other and is ready for his forever family! We believe Meatloaf is about 5 years old and weighs approximately 44 lbs. Despite his bulldog-like looks, we cannot guarantee breed or age given he is a rescue. But I am sure you can agree, Meatloaf has some bulldog in him. He currently is being fostered in a home with 6 other dogs weighing over 70 pounds and has not a care in the world. He is only concerned about what spot he gets to sleep in and what time dinner is! He would do well in a home with other dogs but would not offer much more than a body to cuddle with. He honestly would be great as a solo dog as well! If you offer him a treat and a space to sleep beside you, he is the happiest boy in the whole world! The only time I saw Meatloaf get slightly energized was when he met our housecat, Biggie. Meatloaf looked very ready to chase Biggie even though it was highly likely he would not get the chance because his speed only goes to .5 mph lol. Due to his peaked interest though, we are recommending that Meatloaf be in a home with no cats in order to keep the peace of the home. He hasn’t been around kids but we are happy to watch how he interacts around any aged kid that is in your home! We want to make sure that he is the perfect boy for you! Although a yard will be loved, Meatloaf could live in an apartment as long as stairs were not a regular element of his “commute.” It will be no surprise but he is not built for physically strenuous activities like flights of stairs or walks. Short walks are fine but long ones are not ideal. A single story apartment, one with an elevator, and nearby parking is definitely a possibility though! So why choose Meatloaf over the dozens of other bulldogs out there? Easy. He won’t just steal your heart, he’ll probably steal your spot on the couch, your last bite of sandwich, and become the most beloved part of your daily routine. Mabel is a certified people-dog who has mastered the art of chill! She leans in for affection, rolls over for belly rubs, loves being loved on, and is happiest just being near her people. With that said we estimate her to be 3 years old, she weighs 49 lbs and is likely an English Bulldog/American Bully mix. Thanks to Mabel’s foster we can share that she is a dream guest- fully house and crate trained, quiet, and an all-star sleeper day or night. Dog-wise, Mabel is more of a “coexist” than “let’s play” kind of girl. She was relaxed and unbothered during off-leash time with other dogs, not reactive at all even when other dogs were being too much, she was perfectly happy just doing her own thing. She showed a little interest in playing with an 8-month-old puppy, but when he lost interest, so did she. She’s best matched with a low to medium energy dog who won’t push her to engage or crowd her space. Mabel will need a cat-free home. When she met our home cat it was easy to see an uninvited game of chase cross her mind. That would be chaos for everyone involved. Apartment life? Yes, please. Mabel doesn’t need a ton of exercise—just short walks and time to chill inside with her humans. She walks beautifully on leash—right by your side, no pulling, no drama—and she makes a stroll feel like therapy- she just keeps her sessions short. Bowser is an adorable, happy lowrider. He is great with kids, ok with cats and good with some other dogs (slow introductions always recommend). Bowser is young and would benefit from a strong leader who can guide him to be their best buddy. He is a true Bully... stubborn, with a rough play style. But also very loving and loyal.
