Story
Hello, I`m Bonnie! I`m about 6 years old and weigh 27 pounds. I have a medical release that staff will discuss with you further.** I still need to be spayed so when my forever family decides to adopt me I will be placed on hold. Then you can come pick me up after my surgery. **Do you like...Dogs? I have a good history with other dogs. Please bring all dogs in the home to meet to see how we hit it off!Cats? I`ve never lived with kitties before. Slow, supervised introductions would help set us up for success.Kids? I have a good history with gentle kiddos. Please bring all kids in the home to meet.Anything else you`d like us to know, Bonnie? According to my previous owner, I need a bit more guidance on potty training. I have been a very sweet and friendly little lady with my new friends at the shelter!I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Sookie — a squishy-faced sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger love for comfort. At around 5 years old and 34 pounds, this adorable English Bulldog is equal parts goofy and lovable. Sookie has a charming, silly side that shines through in everything she does—especially when she’s “decorating” her bed. She loves gathering up all her toys, arranging them just right, and even dragging blankets over to create the coziest little nest imaginable. Interior design, bulldog style. Sookie is incredibly affectionate and thrives on attention. She’s happiest when she’s soaking up pets, hanging out with her people, or enjoying a well-earned treat (which she absolutely loves). Her gentle, friendly nature makes her a great companion for just about anyone—she gets along well with other dogs, cats, and people of all ages. She’s also got great manners to go along with her good looks. Sookie is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash, making her an easy addition to a home looking for a laid-back, loving companion. Sookie does have chronic dry eye, which is managed with daily Cyclosporine in both eyes. She handles her routine like a champ and doesn’t let it slow her down one bit. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, low-to-the-ground best friend who will fill your home with love (and maybe a few extra blankets in her bed), Sookie is ready to join your family! Interested in becoming a forever home for Sookie? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $750. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Story
Okay but how is this even real… have you ever seen a dog built this cute?? Doug Kissy is a squishy little lowrider out here rocking the most stunning merle coat like he knows he’s a walking work of art. Swirls of color, one-of-a-kind markings, and a face you’ll never get tired of staring at. And then you notice the rest of him… those short, stout little legs, that big ole squishy head, that perfectly compact “pick me up immediately” body… yeah, it’s over for you. Especially when he hits you with that big smile of his. But somehow his personality is even better than the looks (which feels illegal). He’s fun, loving, goofy in the best way, and has that irresistible “I’m your best friend now” energy that sneaks up on you fast. Doug Kissy is the kind of dog you don’t just like… you obsess over. Watch his video and fall in love with this butterball: https://youtu.be/RBhsqEk7YSE?si=ZzMqsEdOoECqhXlg Doug Kissy is believed to be a Bully mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 52 lbs. It’s mentioned how compact in size he is, which is not an exaggeration. Doug is the definition of a low-rider. So don’t let his pictures fool you. He is not too big and not too small, he is just the right size. Doug is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing is certain with Doug, this boy is a certified lover boy with a goofy little twist that makes him impossible not to smile around. He’s the kind of dog who will happily melt into you on the couch, follow you around like your slightly oversized shadow, and then randomly flop into you like, “okay hi, I’m here for hugs now.” Doug doesn’t just like people… he is obsessed with them in the sweetest, most wholesome way. He greets everyone like they’ve been best friends forever, and it takes about five seconds before you’re like, “yep… I love this dog.” Honestly, it’s no surprise he is such a fan favorite. He’s got that effortless charm that just pulls people in. He’s also been around kids ranging from 3–8 years old in busy, loud family environments and does amazing, making him an incredible candidate for a home with kids. Doug is ridiculously easy to be around. You can cuddle him, pick him up, mess with him, love all over him and he’s just like “yes please, more of that.” He’s super tolerant, super sweet, and honestly just a really fun dog to have in your life. He loves toys and it’s so easy to get him engaged with you, which just adds to that playful, interactive side of him. He’s not over-the-top wild, but he knows how to have fun in that goofy, endearing way that makes you laugh without even trying. With other dogs, Doug is more of a “I’ll hang out over here and vibe” kind of guy. He’s not diving headfirst into chaos or begging for nonstop play, but he will bounce around and get a little silly with the right dog, especially a happy, easygoing female who isn’t trying to turn everything into WrestleMania. His play style is light, goofy, and short-lived… like a quick “okay that was fun, I’m done now” moment. He’s very much about keeping things low-drama and chill. He would do best in a home with a medium to low energy female that enjoys occasional play time and the company of other dogs. Because of how much he loves people, he’d also be more than happy soaking up all the attention as you're one-and-only. Doug would also do best in a home with no cats. Doug is one of those easygoing, go-with-the-flow guys who just fits into whatever you’ve got going on. Running errands? He’s in. Patio hang? Perfect. Lazy Sunday on the couch? Even better. He walks great on a leash, does awesome out in public, and rides in the car like he’s been doing it his whole life. He’s the kind of dog you can take anywhere and he’ll just roll with it like, “yeah this is fun, I’m having a great time.” He’s also adaptable enough to fit into just about any lifestyle. With his good leash manners, calm demeanor, and overall easy personality, Doug could do great in a house or even an apartment. He’s not asking for anything complicated, just people to love, a comfy spot to crash, and maybe a toy or two to show off. Doug is just one of those dogs. The kind that makes you laugh, makes you feel good, and somehow makes everyday life a little more fun without even trying. Sweet, silly, cuddly, and full of personality. We are willing to test Doug Kissy with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Here's looking at you, Lucky! This adventurous boy is ready to charm his way into your heart and home. Lucky didn't have the easiest start in life, but his resilience and playful spirit shine through. With a bright smile and a heart full of love, this 3-year-old Bulldog/Pitbull mix is a bundle of fun and affection, weighing in at a perfect 34 pounds. Lucky is a people-person, or should we say, dog-person? He adores belly rubs and will happily soak up all the love and attention you can give. But don't be fooled by his cuddly side; Lucky is also an explorer at heart. He's always up for a walk, a game, or a new adventure. Lucky is also quite the trained professional, mastering kennel and leash skills with ease. He's the whole package: an adventure buddy and a cuddle companion all in one! Lucky gets along with bigger dogs that he can't intimidate, but his strong prey drive makes squirrels and cats a bit too tempting. However, with people, he's a loyal and affectionate friend. Lucky is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, so he's all set to join your family. If you're seeking a playful and loving companion to share life's adventures, look no further than Lucky. He's a true charmer with a bright spirit, and he can't wait to bring some fun and laughter into your home.

Story
Squishy, splooty, and spectacularly unbothered… this is Barney. A low-riding, soft-hearted gentleman with a built-in off switch and a very serious commitment to comfort. He’s the kind of dog who treats life like a cozy Sunday afternoon… all day, every day. Go watch Barney Belly-Up Bliss Mode on YouTube, then come back… because seeing the full-body sploot and his signature “booty scratch malfunction” really completes the picture. https://youtu.be/td5ulHjXcNU Barney is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. He looks like a bulldog/staffie mix with that perfectly smooshy, huggable build, but as always, rescue rules apply… breed and birthday are our best guess. What we do know for sure is that Barney has mastered the art of being chill. His foster describes him as easygoing, affectionate, and wonderfully low-key. He lives with multiple dogs of all sizes and ages and gets along beautifully with everyone, happily coexisting and minding his own business like the unbothered king he is. Barney doesn’t need the spotlight. He’s more of a “I’ll be right here if you need me” kind of companion. He’s confident and loving with people, happy to accept affection (especially if it comes in the form of a good booty scratch… fair warning, that may cause a full system reboot). He greets the world with a calm curiosity, takes everything in stride, and if something isn’t his vibe, he simply turns away and carries on. It’s a quiet kind of confidence that makes him incredibly easy to have around. Let’s talk about his hobbies, because Barney is a specialist. His top skills include: professional-level lounging, slow wandering, and executing a 10/10 sploot with textbook form. He’s not here for chaos or cardio. In fact, once he’s decided he’s done walking, he’s done. Think less “let’s go for a hike” and more “let’s sit together and watch the clouds do their thing.” He would thrive in a home that appreciates a slower pace and doesn’t expect playful, high-energy antics. With other dogs, Barney is social but likes to keep it chill. He prefers calm companions who respect his space and aren’t looking for a wrestling partner. He communicates clearly, sets polite boundaries, and then goes back to his regularly scheduled wandering. Barney is not a cat guy so a cat-free home will be needed and he would do best in a home without lots of stairs due to his sturdy build and low-to-the-ground frame. Crates aren’t his favorite either, he will oblige with a tiny woo-woo protest but his foster has found that giving him freedom and comfort works beautifully for him. He is trustworthy are perfectly house-trained. Barney is the definition of a companion dog. Not a project, not a whirlwind… just a steady, lovable presence who wants to exist alongside his people and soak up the simple things. A retired couple maybe, a quiet home, a comfy couch… that’s his dream lineup. If you’ve been waiting for a “no drama, just vibes” kind of dog, Barney is ready to report for duty. Apply today and welcome home your favorite nap partner. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69ebbffb6ed356befb03aa08 Questions? Story
She is squish and devotion and believes that “lap-dog” is a state of mind, not a body type. Her name is Barbara but you can call her Barb, she is a classic bulldog with a heart that runs on affection and a personality that says, “can I just schooch in right here?” She doesn’t just enjoy being close, she melts into you like butter on a warm biscuit. Go watch Barbara on YouTube, then come right back to read more about your new favorite passenger princess and professional cuddle enthusiast. https://youtu.be/unKTmsRCd28?si=vdY8nU4srLzwYlcf Barbara is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs 44 lbs of pure, lovable squish. Her looks let us believe she is bulldog mix but she brings a softness to that otherwise bullyishy stereotype that comes with bulldogs. She brings the perfect blend of adoration, softness, and an easygoing nature that makes it easy to fall head over heels for her instantly. Let’s start with her favorite thing in the world- you! Barbara truly does not believe in strangers. She’ll walk right up, sit sweetly at your feet, and hit you with those big ol’ heart eyes before melting into belly-rub position or at the least, solid foot-warmer. Belly rubs? Yes please. Gentle pets? Absolutely. Attention in any form? She is already on her way over. She shares affection beautifully too, never pushy, just happily collecting love wherever it’s offered. If you are too busy, she will happily wait it out in the form of a nap nearby. She’s also a dream on leash. Barbara walks easily, nicely paced, with little need for correction, making her a perfect match for someone who enjoys relaxed strolls over marathon walks. Think: a nice, easy outing, some fresh air, then straight back inside for couch time. That’s her rhythm, but is that a surprise? Not at all! One role Barbara takes very seriously is that of passenger princess. She rides wonderfully in the car, happy to be your co-pilot for any errand or outing, as long as you remember one important detail… she expects valet service. You will get the door and offer a hand. No tip will be offered. This one area is where the royal treatment isn’t optional. When it comes to other dogs, Barbara is polite- she will greet and move along, often choosing people over playtime. If another dog gets too rowdy, she’s confident enough to give a clear, appropriate correction and then disengage. She would do best with a calm, low-energy dog companion or as your one-and-only, soaking up all the love for herself. She should be in a home with dogs her size or larger (25 lbs+.) At home, Barbara is wonderfully easygoing. She settles in quickly, enjoys a little play but tires out fast, and is happiest just being near her people. She could do well in a house or the right apartment setting, though stairs may be a bit of a challenge, so minimal steps or easy access living would suit her best. One last thing, an important note from Barbara she insists we mention again- she firmly believes that “lap dog” is a state of mind, not a body type… and she is prepared to demonstrate this belief at any given moment. Consider this your official warning/invitation. Barbara is for the person who wants a steady, affectionate, low-key companion… a dog who will sit at your feet (or directly on you), ride shotgun, and remind you daily that love can be soft, simple, and wonderfully squishy. If you’re ready for a loyal little shadow with a heart as big as her bulldog cheeks, Barbara is ready and waiting for you!
