Her funny, bouncy way of playing is guaranteed to brighten your day. Trudy absolutely loves toys and is always ready for a game or some playtime. She enjoys spending time outside exploring the yard, but she's just as happy hanging out with her people afterward. She has wonderful manners and is crate trained, house trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Trudy gets along with dogs, cats, kids, and adults, making her a great fit for many different types of families. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Tater Tot is exactly what his name suggests- golden brown, round, hearty, a little lumpy, deeply lovable, and best enjoyed on the couch. He is estimated to be around 7 years old and is every bit the classic bulldog experience rolled into one chunky little package. Low to the ground, low on energy, and highly motivated by snacks, Tater Tot is not looking for adventure. He is looking for comfort, air conditioning, and someone who understands the beauty of a simple life. Rescue rules apply, so no promises on breed or birthday. He is confident meeting new friends, enjoys attention without demanding it constantly, and handles busy environments with the same energy as a dad walking through Home Depot on a Saturday morning. He is easy to leash, walks at the easiest pace (don’t call it slow), settles quickly, and truly seems happiest just wandering around at his own pace before finding a comfy place to lay down. Not because he is aggressive or reactive, but because he is an older bulldog with absolutely zero respect for other dogs’ personal space. Murphy 85lb neutered male English Bulldog and a big, goofy sweetheart with tons of personality. His previous owner relocated and truly hoped I could be his forever home. Unfortunately, changes with health concerns with elderly family, including unexpected travel, have made it difficult to give him the consistent care he deserves. Murphy is affectionate, loves his people, enjoys car rides, and considers his crate his safe space. He does have typical bulldog care needs, including cherry eye and some ongoing skin, allergy, and ear issues. He is also currently due for his vaccinations, and I have an appointment scheduled. I am looking for a safe, permanent home with someone who understands Bulldogs or is willing to learn about their needs and can provide consistent care. I have listed a rehoming fee, but if the right person is willing to get his vaccinations updated, I am willing to work something out. Finding the right home for Murphy is what matters most.
