Story
Are you looking for the perfect running partner? Well Mister Bibbles is your guy! He’s not your standard bow-legged bulldog! This boy can move and would be happy to accompany you on daily runs! This pitiful looking bulldog was picked up by BARC, the City of Houston shelter as a stray from one of the worst parts of Houston. He was not adoptable as he was hairless with skin issues and two cherry eyes (third eyelid bulging requiring surgery). He was on a stray hold and posted to see if any rescues may step up or he would be euthanized the next day. His picture spoke to me and we agreed to foster him so Three Little Pitties pulled him and his life was saved. He had a severe case of dermatitis, smelled terribly, and looked like a pink hairless possum. His disposition from the very beginning told us that this ugly duckling had such a sweet side. He had to have a medicated bath every third day and slowly, his hair started to grow back. He was under weight, but with proper feeding with added salmon oil, he slowly started to gain weight and soon the bulldog personality started to surface. At first, the only toy he knew was a tennis ball. That quickly changed as he was living with a pack of four other dogs who taught him what toys were and he has never looked back. One of the funniest things he does is throw his toy up in the air, he will fling it all over the place so watch the breakables! He knows how to retrieve toys and bring them back to you, and tugging is one of his favorite games. I think the main thing we can say about Mr. Bibble is he is a true clown. Included here in his photo portfolio are the many centerfold pictures of Mr. Bibble, we have been told he should have his own calendar. He was not neutered, so he was pulling our giant dog beds all over the place, and yes, humping them, was one of his favorite pastimes. Now that he is neutered, the humping should subside. He also has had both of his cherry eyes fixed and is quite handsome now! We think at one time he belonged to someone as he has no fear of people and loves attention. He seems intrigued by cats but seems to do well with them. We are working on the housebreaking and he now knows how to ring the bells that are attached to the back door. He now knows how to sit on command and he is really pretty smart. Mr. Bibble is an energic boy of about two years old. He has now put on almost ten pounds and is weighing in at about 48 lbs. He would not be a good fit in a home with young children as he has so much energy, he could possibly knock them over. We are currently working with him on his energy level to make him sit when he gets a bit too rambunctious. He has learned very quickly that our hands are the “good stuff.” The hands give him all the petting, the rubbing, and the attention. He wants that so badly that when he has been in his kennel or away from us for a while, he gets so excited he jumps and tries to get to “the good stuff”, your hands. He has such a big underbite that he doesn’t realize that he is nipping at you while he is so excited. This is typical bulldog behavior and we believe he would do best in a home with another young dog to help with his energy level. In addition, I think his ideal home would be someone with bulldog experience. He could definitely benefit from an obedience class, but as I said, he already knows sit, off, and is learning very fast. He absolutely loves sleeping in the bed and is an incredible cuddler. He loves to toast his buns in front of the fire in the early morning, or wants to lay next to you while you have your morning coffee. We have come very close to foster failing with him, and if we did not already have a pack of four, he wouldn’t be leaving. He has the funniest personality that will always keep you entertained. Please consider being Mr. Bibble’s forever family, he is truly a very special dog. At one time someone’s trash, but I can assure you, he is definitely a true treasure! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Biggie is a 3 yr old tri-Merle English bulldog with all of his certificates. My family and I adopted Biggie when he was a puppy from a breeder. He is such a sweet, mellow guy who sometimes gets rambunctious. He is very protective which led him to not being socialized very well. He is amazing with my young children but I haven’t tried to bring other dogs or people around him. When guest are over I always put him away so no accidents happen. He used to be very kind so most likely my fault for not socializing him correctly. I’m sure with proper training and patients he’ll be back to being social and listening to commands. He was around and did fine with a cat we had previously. Usually left her alone with occasional play. My family and I are moving out of country and where we’re moving to said he’s technically an “aggressive breed” so this is why I cannot bring him and trying to adopt him to the perfect person/family.

Story
This striking little Shar-pei/lab mix is Cecilia Cub brought into the program by our very own, Olga! Cecilia is right around a year old and weighs 45 lbs of pure love and sweetness! She has the absolutely cutest face and beautiful medium-length mocha colored coat! Her snout resembles a shar-pei and she is petite with long legs but like we always say … with rescue it’s just a guess! The cutest thing about this little angel pup … when she gets comfortable with her person/people she will do this adorable pitter pattering in her crate because she’s so excited to see you! She will lift her paw, begging to be let out of her crate so she can give lots of doggy hugs and kisses! She just wants to show you all the love! Cecilia is truly what love is made of! When you first meet her, she has this cute little series of hops, almost like a bunny, where she will jump to you then away from you trying to establish trust. She’s not fearful, it’s just her way of checking out new people as she needs time to warm up. If you sit or crouch she will immediately come to you … she feels more safe when you’re on her level. This precious girl just wants love and affections from her humans. She also displays the same hop/jump game when first meeting dogs - it’s almost like a game of tag and chase so she can make sure everything is a-ok! Cecilia is not a vocal dogs and rarely barks! She would do well in an apartment or condo as long as she received proper daily physical and mental stimulation. She is also completely house and crate trained. She rides well in the car and can easily get in and out on her own. She’d love to accompany her new person/people on errand runs and road trips! Cecilia walks so gently on leash! She’s still a young girl and can easily get sidetracked and stop to smell the roses! She’s treat motivated so continued training should be a breeze with this girl. She’s still young and very malleable so the sky’s the limit for sweet Cecilia! Shes such an amazing pup and so stable that our behavior team has been able to use her in assessments and playgroups consisting of dogs that vary in size (7 lbs to 90 lbs) and temperament. She’s an absolute rockstar and was even able to stay calm and keep her composure when a fight broke out in playgroup. This girl is truly the complete package and just needs the right home to call her own! Story
Attention all of the petite-pittie lovers, we have a new one for you to fall for! Her name is Daisy Day and she weighs 20 lbs! How can a number be adorable!? When it popped up on the scale I almost squealed! Plus, she is fully grown! Pocket-size and practically TSA approved carry-on size, and she will barely take up one cushion on the couch. On top of all that, she is absolutely adorable and a ton of fun! Take a look at her in action and then come back to read more! Two things we often have to make an educated guess with rescue dogs is breed and age, Daisy is est. to be just shy of the puppy days at 1 year old and is a perfect combination of a pittie and something small, jack russel maybe? When you get the DNA results let us know! One thing we know for sure is this size adds to a her charming personality, which can best be described as a good-time! I am talking about a toy loving, bouncy thing who is happy to be in your company and has never met a stranger. Once she meets you it is BFF status! When I first saw her on leash she was excited which made her leash walking skills look like they needed some polishing but after a chance to get a bit of energy out she was showing off some great leash manners. Some brushing up on skills with you by her side will be a good time for both of you. She will learn fast and make you proud! Although she is small, we would love to see Daisy in a home with a yard. The joy she got running free with her toy in mouth was all we needed to see. She will be able to entertain her self, run around happily, followed by a sprawled out super-dog nap. From what we have seen she is house and crate trained though we always anticipate they will need some help learning a new routine and their way around the potty places. Daisy was introduced to other dogs and our biggest take-away was that she doesn’t quiet understand that dogs can make great playmates and friends. This is often in dogs that adore people deeply because that is where they get the sense of fun and connection. Daisy would make a great only-dog but she is also learning more and more through play-groups and is having a blast! From what we observed, Daisy is cat-tolerant! When she was introduced to our house cat Tom she was curious but gave the cat respectful space. We could see her in a home with a dog-savvy cat who could confidently give her a boundary. Otherwise, it’s possible she may try to chase a runaway kitty. If you are looking for a sweet, playful, petite little pittie mix, you have found her. Daisy is ready for adoption now and is going to be the best flower you have ever picked. If you have any questions about Daisy or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
