Story
If you put happy, silly, and cute into a fun size burly little package- get you a Wren! Named after a cute little bird, but giving the snorts and sweetness of a little piggy! Whatever her breed combo is she has a short nose in her family tree so be prepared to giggle at some of the piggie piggie moments when she starts to make a nest on the couch or after a good play session! We hope she flies right into your heart and home! Watch her video to see her in action! Wren is the kind of dog you want to come home to after a long day, she is going to greet you with a wiggly, happy butt, gentle kisses and be ready to snuggle the stress away! She has pocket bully written all over her but I would say she is best described as pocket buddy! Of course with rescue we can’t say for sure what her breed is but I stand by pocket buddy 100%, At 49 lbs she is a petite girlie with enough weight behind her that you’ll feel the snuggle without having it break you. It is important you understand that Wren is the friendly-type, she wants to greet the world and knows no stranger. Whether she goes to them or they come to her, if you head out of the house together leave a few extra minutes for the greetings and comments about you super cute dog. Another thing, she is great with kids! She really seemed to understand that you have to be calmer and gentler with littles. We didn’t get to see her with toddlers but I suspect she may accidentally knock them over with her cutie-booty, of course we are happy to do this if you have toddlers and think she is your pick. We all met Wren on a stormy Houston day and this girl brought the sunshine to our day, it was genuinely the only time the rain broke all day. On top of that she was the emotional sunshine we were otherwise missing. From the moment we all saw her face not a single person was having a bad day, she cleared up the gloomies all around. When we introduced Wren to other dogs we learned quickly- this girl has a type. She hit it off with a bully breed boy named Remy. The bully play style isn’t for every dog but she reads cues well and does not push if the dog isn’t receptive to her. She was friendly, greeted well on and off leash, and when she wasn’t running and playing with her “boyfriend” she was happy to just hang out and check in with people for a little love and maybe a treat. Wren’s ideal home is flexible, she absolutely could be an apartment girlie thanks to her friendliness, size, and go-with-the flow personality. If you have a house that is awesome too, more space to sploot and sunbathe. Ideal dog pairing would be a playful boy who doesn’t mind the bully playstyle. Her energy level is about 5-10 minutes of running and then she is ready to sprawl out to catch her breath, so this girl is low-mid level energy and would benefit from a dog with a similar stamina. If you are looking to be an one-dog house, this girl is a great candidate! People fill up her love tank and she has the love of at least two dogs in there to share so you won’t ever go love-starved. As far as cats go, we would recommend a cat-free home, she was ready to play a game of chase with our house cat Tom and we all know how much cats hate that game. If you bring the love and promise to buy the food- she is all in! The cherry on top would be if you didn’t mind letting her greet the world on occasion, she deserves to spread that happiness around! So if you have space for 49 lbs of dog with a ton of love to give then Ill call you lucky, Wren is ready and available to fill that vacancy! If you have any questions about Wren or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email samanthar@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. My adoption fee is $25 Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Story
This striking little Shar-pei/lab mix is Cecilia Cub brought into the program by our very own, Olga! Cecilia is right around a year old and weighs 45 lbs of pure love and sweetness! She has the absolutely cutest face and beautiful medium-length mocha colored coat! Her snout resembles a shar-pei and she is petite with long legs but like we always say … with rescue it’s just a guess! The cutest thing about this little angel pup … when she gets comfortable with her person/people she will do this adorable pitter pattering in her crate because she’s so excited to see you! She will lift her paw, begging to be let out of her crate so she can give lots of doggy hugs and kisses! She just wants to show you all the love! Cecilia is truly what love is made of! When you first meet her, she has this cute little series of hops, almost like a bunny, where she will jump to you then away from you trying to establish trust. She’s not fearful, it’s just her way of checking out new people as she needs time to warm up. If you sit or crouch she will immediately come to you … she feels more safe when you’re on her level. This precious girl just wants love and affections from her humans. She also displays the same hop/jump game when first meeting dogs - it’s almost like a game of tag and chase so she can make sure everything is a-ok! Cecilia is not a vocal dogs and rarely barks! She would do well in an apartment or condo as long as she received proper daily physical and mental stimulation. She is also completely house and crate trained. She rides well in the car and can easily get in and out on her own. She’d love to accompany her new person/people on errand runs and road trips! Cecilia walks so gently on leash! She’s still a young girl and can easily get sidetracked and stop to smell the roses! She’s treat motivated so continued training should be a breeze with this girl. She’s still young and very malleable so the sky’s the limit for sweet Cecilia! Shes such an amazing pup and so stable that our behavior team has been able to use her in assessments and playgroups consisting of dogs that vary in size (7 lbs to 90 lbs) and temperament. She’s an absolute rockstar and was even able to stay calm and keep her composure when a fight broke out in playgroup. This girl is truly the complete package and just needs the right home to call her own! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Story
Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Sasha is fostering in Northern California (Napa area).July 26, 2024, 4:27 pm

Story
Daisy is an amazing 4 1/2 year old female shar pei that would fit into almost any home.    She is spayed, has had obedience training, and is full of fun and energy. Daisy loves the other foster dogs in her home (especially the males).    And she is all about the kisses with her foster parents.    Daisy met some cats when she was training and totally ignored them.  She knows commands such as sit, stay, place (to go to her mat or raised bed), come (sometimes she has selective hearing on this one) and others.   She is house-trained, crate-trained and is familiar with an electronic training collar and loves to please. Daisy would love a yard to run around in, always appreciates a good bone, loves toys and even goes to boarding on occasion when her foster parents do a weekend getaway.  The boarding place gives her very good reviews!     She would do  best in a home without small kids because she is a bit afraid of them and will bark and be nervous around them. Daisy is fostering in Oregon City, OR and weighs about 45 pounds.July 26, 2024, 4:27 pm
