Whether shes napping the afternoon away in her foster dads home office or quietly relaxing nearby, Layla simply enjoys being part of the family. If she starts feeling left out, shell let you know with an adorable little demand bark because this girl believes no one should have to spend too much time alone! Shes also incredibly well-mannered. Layla is fully potty trained with zero accidents in her foster home, willingly goes into her crate, and is wonderful about sharing both food and toys. One of Laylas biggest highlights is just how social she is. She has been fantastic with both dogs and cats, making herself right at home with every furry friend shes met. Shes even started discovering the joy of toys, showing that this sweet senior still has a playful side waiting to shine. Big trouble because we still have THE CUTEST dog in residence. Billy has been spending the last several weeks getting healthy, settling into a wonderful routine, and proving over and over again what an incredible companion he is. This handsome guy is fully potty trained, sleeps soundly through the night, rides beautifully in the car, and is happiest when hes spending time with his people. Whether hes soaking up the sunshine, carrying around a tennis ball, enjoying a leisurely walk, or curling up on the couch for a nap, Billy is all about the simple pleasures in life. Hes affectionate, gentle, and incredibly easy to live with. He coexists nicely with other dogs, has been respectful of the resident cat, and has even learned that his crate can be a pretty nice place to relax. His foster family recently left him home alone for several hours, and he spent the entire time peacefully snoozing. Billy continues to make great progress in every aspect of life and has blossomed into a happy, confident boy. Officially loving this #rescuelife, Nathaniel has already proven to be a champion sleeper, an A++ copilot in the car, and an all-around wonderful companion. Now that hes had his major medical needs taken care of, hes showing us the dog he was always destined to be. Nathaniel is gentle, friendly, and incredibly easygoing. Whether its cars swishing by, a busy coffee shop, other dogs nearby, or new people stopping to say hello, he takes it all in stride. He happily welcomes attention from everyone he meets and seems perfectly content soaking up the world around him. Nathaniel is also a very well-mannered boy who clearly knows his way around a home. He knows several commands, but our favorite might be when he offers his paw for a handshake. Its hard not to fall in love with his sweet, affectionate personality. At home, Nathaniel is doing wonderfully with his foster siblings. Hes embraced his role as the lovable little brother, happily chasing after his foster brother while he chases a ball. He continues to grow more comfortable around the other dogs in the home and has shown himself to be gentle, respectful, and incredibly patient. Even when another dog isnt in the mood to be friends, Nathaniel simply gives them space and carries on, proving just how kind-hearted he is. Hes a little leggier, so hes okay with a few stairs, and we love nothing more than seeing him stretched out on the couch for a good snooze after rolling around in the yard. Nathaniel is also learning how it feels to be truly loved and cared for, and hes fully embracing the experience. He has discovered that he really, really likes food, and his appetite is growing by the day. Were pretty sure it wont be long before he fills out into his full bulldog figure! This sweet soul has come so far and continues to blossom every day. Were excited to watch his journey unfold, but we have a feeling his very best chapter will be with a family of his very own. While we don't know everything about Toffee yet, we do know that her furever humans must be willing to accept endless unconditional love and companionship and must be ready for their ride-or-die heart dog! Toffee is learning to work through some big feelings about humans not constantly being at her beck and call, so while the sweet girl matures, a home with zero kiddos or cats will be best for her. They will be on board with giving her daily eye drops and spa treatments. They may have another low-kep doggo at home. She enjoys their company, though shes more interested in peaceful coexistence than in playing. She is also totally fine as the queen of her castle... And, thanks to her past, our little girl finds it hard to let her humans out of her sight (she's never sure if THESE people are going to come back to her); so, she really will do best with at least one human who works from home or, in a home, with a family willing to continue helping her build independence. Gentle is currently working hard on her potty training and has been steadily getting the hang of this 'indoor dog' thing.
