Allie appears to be around 3 years of age and is in good health. She was surrendered to the county pound due to her owner passing away. She was raising 4 puppies when Bedford Humane took her into foster care. All the puppies have found forever homes and now it is Allie's time. She has learned it is okay to be crated and is house trained. Allie lived with other hound breeds and is now in foster care with another dog. Allie gets excited when let out of her crate, therefore you must be quick to get her outside to potty. She does the zoomies in a fenced yard and plays by herself very well. Allie has met a young child and is a little leery about the high pitched voice. She shows no bad behavior, just stays away. She is very interested in cats, therefore it might be best to have a no cat home. Allie would be a great hiker and a running partner. At the end of the day she has lots of love to give someone. Allie has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for heartworms, is on heartworm preventative, and is spayed. Introducing Daniel Boone, a country boy who is ready to explore the great outdoors! Daniel came to us from a rural shelter with more dogs than adopters. With his good looks and charismatic ways, this southern gentleman charmed his way right outta there! Daniel is about three years old and weighs about 50 precious pounds! He is adjusting well in his foster home. He loves people and is getting along well with other dogs but will not be able to live with cats. He is house trained and crate training and working on his leash manners. Daniel will make some hound loving family very happy! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. I'm a redneck woman I ain't no high class broad I'm just a product of my raising I say, "hey y'all" and "yee-haw" - Gretchen Wilson "Redneck Woman" Meet our redneck woman, Sweet Tater aka Sweet Tayda when she's in the city! Tayda is a 10 year old beer slinging, foul mouthed country gal who weighs about 70 pounds and won't stop blasting the Gretchen Wilson tunes on her CD player. Foster moms about to take that away! Tayda found herself in a city shelter and just couldn't mold and be lady that adopters wanted her to be. She tried to eat their cats and even them if they tried to pry the deep fried oreo out of her mouth! Knowing that Augusta Dog Adoptions has a reputation of being just as wild and unchained as Tayda, they asked it we could help her right before they were about send her to meet her sweet, Lord Jesus. Amen. Since joining us, we've let Sweet Tayda be herself. She eats about anything she wants and gets stuffed toys to relive out her old hunting days tearing them to bits! And she keeps her Christmas lights on, on her front porch all year long and she knows every word to every Tanya Tucker song! Tayda is looking for a true hound lover who understands that she is what she is. You aren't going to train the naughty out of her and you aren't going to force her to being something she is not. What she is is funny, happy, friendly and glad to be alive! She's happy sleeping in her doghouse with a full belly but we have hope that we can find her a real home where is can be a part of a family! ...
