Meet Dash! This lovely & handsome Coonhound mix is hoping to be the newest member of your family! Dash does have some history of being protective over food(resource guarding), so he will require any children in the home to be at least 10 or older. Do to similar reasons, he will have to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. Please remember to do any introductions with either people or animals slowly! Again, Dash is a hound mix & they are a breed known to be quite loud/vocal, so we do not recommend that he goes home to somewhere that shares walls(this is not a requirement). Lasty, Dash is a very spry, interactive, & curious dog who would love nothing more than to find his forever home! If you have any questions about Dash, resource guarding, or anything else, please talk to our kennel staff & they will be happy to assist!

Allie appears to be around 3 years of age and is in good health. She was surrendered to the county pound due to her owner passing away. She was raising 4 puppies when Bedford Humane took her into foster care. All the puppies have found forever homes and now it is Allie's time. She has learned it is okay to be crated and is house trained. Allie lived with other hound breeds and is now in foster care with another dog. Allie gets excited when let out of her crate, therefore you must be quick to get her outside to potty. She does the zoomies in a fenced yard and plays by herself very well. Allie has met a young child and is a little leery about the high pitched voice. She shows no bad behavior, just stays away. She is very interested in cats, therefore it might be best to have a no cat home. Allie would be a great hiker and a running partner. At the end of the day she has lots of love to give someone. Allie has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for heartworms, is on heartworm preventative, and is spayed. Introducing Daniel Boone, a country boy who is ready to explore the great outdoors! Daniel came to us from a rural shelter with more dogs than adopters. With his good looks and charismatic ways, this southern gentleman charmed his way right outta there! Daniel is about three years old and weighs about 50 precious pounds! He is adjusting well in his foster home. He loves people and is getting along well with other dogs but will not be able to live with cats. He is house trained and crate training and working on his leash manners. Daniel will make some hound loving family very happy! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella.
