Axel is a 2.5-year-old Aussiedoodle weighing 57 pounds of sweet, affectionate goodness. This handsome boy loves being with his people, running freely in a big backyard, and always coming when called. He’s gentle taking treats and already knows sit and down, with a great understanding of wait at doorways and his kennel. Even without formal training, Axel is a fast learner and eager to please. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys going for walks (and likely a good run), and is working hard on polite greetings, making great progress every day. His previous owner shared that he is housebroken, which is a big bonus! Axel has done well meeting another dog at the shelter, and we’re continuing to test him with smaller dogs. Because he doesn’t quite realize how big he is, Axel would do best with older children who can appreciate his size and enthusiasm. Affectionate, smart, and ready for a loving home with structure and routine, Axel is truly a showstopper. Come meet this amazing boy! Sierra is a beautiful 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit made for adventure. Found as a stray and cared for by a kind family before coming to us, she’s now ready to find her perfect match. This sweet and independent girl thrives on activity and exploration—she absolutely loves to run, play, and spend time outdoors. A securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer, and she’ll do best in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. Sierra can be a bit shy at first, but once she knows you, her personality truly blossoms. She becomes affectionate, playful, and will gladly lean in for cuddles and attention. She’s especially happy around other dogs and enjoys canine playmates. However, she’d do best in a home without small children, as she can be startled by fast movements and loud noises. While not housetrained yet, Sierra is very smart and learns quickly—she already knows “sit,” “wait,” and “come.” Sierra isn’t a constant cuddle bug, but she loves to be near her people, and her loyal nature makes her a wonderful companion. I AM CURRENTLY IN FOSTER!Hi, I’m Orpheus — but my foster family calls me Opie.I’m a very sweet, good-natured boy who’s been through more than my heart should have had to handle. I’m fully housebroken, I absolutely love other dogs, and I’m learning — slowly but surely — that the world doesn’t have to be such a scary place.I am extremely fearful, and that fear is deeply imprinted from earlier experiences in my life. New people, unfamiliar environments, loud noises, and too much stimulation can be overwhelming for me. Building trust with me takes time, patience, and a calm presence. I don’t do well with being rushed, talked at, or “love-bombed” — for me, comfort comes from quiet energy, predictable routines, and respectful body language.When trust does begin to form, that’s where the magic happens. After two months in foster care, I’ve started seeking out affection on my own terms and have even begun snuggling on the couch with my foster mom. Those moments are incredibly special because they’re earned — and they mean everything.I would thrive in a home with space, including a dedicated area where I can feel safe and decompress. Having at least one confident, friendly dog in the home is very important for me — other dogs help me feel secure and act as a bridge between me and the human world.I’m not the kind of dog who will greet you at the door right away — but for the right person, willing to move at my pace and let trust grow naturally, I will be a deeply rewarding companion.
