Story
Meet Hazel, a truly special girl with both beauty and brilliance wrapped into one stunning package. This gorgeous 2-year-old, 75-pound English Shepherd mix was found as a stray in a neighborhood, and sadly, no one ever came looking for her. Their loss is about to be someone else’s greatest gift.   Hazel is a head-turner with her soft, long fur and graceful presence — but it’s her spirit that really shines. She’s full of joyful, puppy-like energy and loves nothing more than zooming around the yard with a toy proudly carried in her mouth. Watching her play is pure happiness.   This girl is incredibly intelligent, the kind of dog who thrives when given guidance and purpose. She wants to learn, wants to grow, and has all the potential to become the confident, well-trained QUEEN she was meant to be. Training her won’t feel like work — it will feel like bonding.   Hazel is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with cats, great with other dogs, and loves people of all ages. She’s looking for a home with a fenced yard and a family who appreciates larger breeds and enjoys helping a smart dog reach her full potential.   Hazel is a diamond in the rough — loyal, loving, and ready to shine. If you’re looking for a dog who will grow with your family and reward you tenfold, Hazel may be your perfect match.   Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:57 am

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: MostlyMeet Sydney, a super-social puppy with the wiggliest butt you’ll ever see! She’ll do high-octane zoomies before settling in for a good, long nap. Sydney is looking for a home where she can get lots of mental stimulation and have plenty of adoring fans nearby.Sydney has excellent social skills and has loved every adult, child, dog, and cat she’s met. She goes right up to new people with her tail wagging, and she’s playful and friendly with kids. Sydney is amazing with other dogs, reading their cues and respecting their boundaries if they don’t want to play with her. She has been curious about the cats she’s lived with but gives them their space. Sydney lives to chase a ball or snuggle up on someone’s lap.Sydney has been making great progress with her crate training. She’s crated occasionally during the day and consistently overnight and can take a few minutes to settle in. Sydney has also been hard at work on her house training, and with patience, consistency, and time, she’s sure to adapt to new situations and routines quickly. She loves leash walks and is excited to keep perfecting her leash skills in her new home. Sydney is a clever girl who loves to keep her brain busy with puzzle toys and learning new skills. She would benefit from a home where she can get plenty of mental and physical exercise, whether it’s picking up new tricks or becoming an agility champion!Sydney is a social superstar who can’t wait to light up her new home.
