Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Greta! Greta is approximately 7 months old,18 lb currently, and may have some Aussie in her mix. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, crate-training, and leash walking. She could join households with kids 10+, cats and other dogs. She can be a bit nervous at first and needs a few days to settle in before showing off her sweet and silly personality. She needs a home where people are around more often than not and can be committed to her continued positive reinforcement training. She is not a good candidate for apartment living and could benefit from a home with a fenced yard so she has a safe space to grow her confidence. Her foster says, `Greta is a great little pup. She is so sweet and loving. She loves being around people. She never meets a stranger. She will make someone a great little pup. Greta has been hoping and dreaming of her forever family. Do you think that you can make her dreams come true?`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on May 22nd or possibly earlier. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Kenny is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to demand attention—he simply earns your heart by being quietly, wonderfully present. This stunning 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, with his rich brown merle coat and soulful eyes, has a calm, steady spirit that feels like home from the moment you meet him. At 50 pounds, he’s the perfect size to be your constant companion—never far, always devoted. After spending six long months waiting in a small New Mexico shelter, Kenny is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and embrace the love he’s always deserved. Despite a slight vision impairment, he moves through life with confidence and grace, never letting it slow him down. In fact, his resilience only makes him more remarkable.  Kenny is incredibly smart, beautifully mannered on a leash, and fully potty trained. He’s the kind of dog who finds joy in the simplest things—resting quietly at your feet, leaning gently against you, or soaking in every bit of affection you’re willing to give. He’s gentle with everyone he meets, wonderful with other dogs, and has a soft, kind nature that makes him truly special. Offer him a treat and he’ll happily sit… and if you’re lucky, he might even place his paw in your hand like a quiet promise of loyalty.  He would thrive in a peaceful home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the calm life he’s been waiting for. Kenny isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone to love, to follow, and to quietly adore every single day.If you’re ready for a deeply loyal, affectionate companion who will bring a sense of peace and devotion into your life, Kenny is waiting for you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and give this beautiful soul the forever home he’s been dreaming of.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  May 7, 2026, 7:58 pm

Confident and social, she absolutely loves a good wrestling session with other dogs. Pixel strikes a wonderful balance between independence and affection: she’s happy to keep herself entertained, but will always circle back for cuddles.Pixel is friendly with every dog she meets, though her enthusiasm may be a bit much for dogs who don’t enjoy active play. She hasn’t been tested with children or cats yet, but given her sweet demeanor, she’d likely do well in a home with older children and dog savvy cats.Pixel is a smart girl and is eager to please. She is mostly housetrained and does best when kept on a consistent schedule. She is working on her crate training and can be vocal before settling in. With time, consistency and routine she will quickly master it. She enjoys bursts of active play followed by periods of relaxation and independent entertainment. With continued structure and consistency, Pixel is learning how to channel her energy in positive and rewarding ways.If you’re looking for a bundle of joy wrapped in fur, look no further. Pixel will bring laughter, affection, and an insatiable zest for life into your home! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: Yes Portland is a sweet, gentle boy who is just beginning to learn what it means to be a cherished companion. He has a calm, pleasant nature and a strong desire to belong to a family or pack. While he can be a bit shy with new experiences, he finds comfort in familiar people, places, and routines. He’s medium energy overall - happy to enjoy bursts of play outside, but content to relax and settle quietly indoors. Portland loves being outside, whether he’s running around the yard with his dog friends or simply lounging and watching the world go by.Portland absolutely loves other dogs and takes great confidence from them, often looking to his canine buddies for cues on how to handle new situations. He would truly thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help him continue building confidence. Around children, Portland is respectful and cautious - he doesn’t herd, nip, or jump, but instead prefers to hang back when kids are very active or moving quickly. With cats, his submissive and gentle nature suggests he would be curious but respectful, and he’s likely to move away if a cat indicates it wants space.Portland walks fairly well on leash and just needs a little encouragement when encountering new or unfamiliar things. He is crate trained, happily goes into his crate with a treat, and settles quietly for the night. During the day, he can be crated for short periods (1–2 hours) and does well with routine. While car rides aren’t his favorite at first, once he’s in the car he rides calmly and comfortably. With patience, consistency, and a stable environment, Portland will continue to blossom into a confident and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal dog who would love nothing more than to be part of your pack, Portland’s your pup! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Meet Rebel, a 2-3 month old boxer mix with the cutest ears and a personality that melts hearts. Weighing in at just 8 lbs, Rebel may be small, but his spirit is boundless. He was found abandoned at a construction site with his sister. We are thrilled someone took pity on them; taking care of them until we could step in to help. Without food, water, and shelter, survival was impossible. This little guy adores playing with his fur friends and cuddling up close, yet he’s also content to spend quiet moments on his own—no crazy barking, just peaceful tail wags. The perfect little pup!! Rebel’s happiest moments are when he’s surrounded by love, whether it’s from humans or fellow pups. His gentle nature makes him a joy to be around, and his wagging tail is always ready to greet you. We dare you not to smile once you lay eyes on this sweet, fun pup. Now, Rebel is looking for his forever home—a place where he can share his playful energy and affectionate cuddles with a family who will cherish him. If you’re seeking a loyal companion with a joyful spirit, Rebel is ready to bring warmth and happiness into your life. We hope a forever family will see the wonderful spirit Rebel has and give him the loving home he deserves.
