Story
Disclaimer: I'm currently soaking up the Texas sun, but the great news is that I can be transported to my forever home once adopted, and the transport fee is $230.My journey began when I was surrendered, along with my four precious puppies, because my family couldn't provide the care I needed. I'm a bundle of energy and an incredible jumper! My foster mom thinks I have all the potential to excel in agility training courses. While I absolutely adore the company of other dogs, I'm not a fan of being on my own, so a home with a calmer dog would be a perfect fit to help me settle. I'm a social butterfly who cherishes my human companions and still carries that puppy-like spirit in my heart. In my previous home, I was raised alongside three children, aged 8 to 16, so I'm sure to thrive in an energetic family environment. If you're looking for a furry friend who's ready to embark on adventures with you, look no further. Apply today and let's make a fantastic team!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Hi, I'm Maude!Do you like other dogs? I have done well living with another dog in my previous home. Please bring any dogs in the home to meet prior to adoption. What do you think about cats? I have been indifferent of the kitties I've lived with before. Slow introductions would help set me up for success living with a new cat.So how do you feel about kids? I've done fine around the kids I've met. I can be a bit shy and flighty around new folks. I'd like to live with respectful kiddos. What's your energy level like? Medium! I'm a friendly gal who would love to go on daily walks around the neighborhood and spend lots of time hanging with my forever fam! I can be nervous with strangers visiting my house and might thrive in a lower traffic home. What is it that staff and volunteers love about you? They love how sweet I am once I start coming out of my shell. Is there anything else we should know about you? I'm about 7 years old, weigh around 39 lbs, and I have a medical release stating that I may need dental care in the near future. My previous owner states that I prefer the company of women and can be more shy around men. I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Gonzo was found on 04/25/24 at The Farm Store in Veneta. He came into the shelter already neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
