Story
It breaks our hearts to share that we need to rehome our dog, Crosby. We love him deeply. He has been part of our family since he was a puppy, but since bringing home our baby, his anxiety and reactivity have increased, and our home is no longer the right fit for him. It’s not fair to him, and we want to give him the best life possible. Crosby is a beautiful, athletic English Springer Spaniel who needs a very experienced, adult-only home. He is smart, loyal, house-trained, and loves long walks, playtime, and staying close to “his person.” He struggles with separation anxiety and has bonded strongly to me. Since the baby arrived, he has become increasingly jealous and stressed. Crosby can be a difficult dog. He has bitten my husband (never me) when feeling threatened, startled, or when Christopher has come between us. He needs someone confident and experienced with reactive or sensitive dogs. He also needs significant exercise, structure, and a calm environment.

Meet Thelma At 11 years young, This Golden girl Thelma is a sweet and sprightly Spaniel-Golden mix (our best guess!) who’s ready to share her golden years with someone special. She may be a senior, but she still has plenty of personality and joy to share! Thelma is great on leash and enjoys going out for quick potty breaks — but long walks aren’t really her thing these days. She’s more of a “stroll and sniff” kind of gal who prefers her comfy dog bed or a cozy spot on the couch. This lovely lady is completely housebroken, sleeps quietly through the night, and has wonderful manners. She adores people and gets along well with most dogs — she’s just an all-around sweetheart with a calm, friendly energy. When Thelma arrived at our rescue, we discovered she has diabetes. She takes insulin twice a day like a champ and isn’t fazed by it at all. She’s otherwise happy, content, and ready to enjoy life by your side. Thelma is looking for a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and cherished — a place to enjoy long naps, soft toys, gentle affection, and the simple joy of companionship. If you’re ready to open your heart to a truly special senior, Thelma is ready to love you with her whole heart.
