Story
Sweet Dixie Lynn is about 2 years old and finally ready to find a home to call her very own! This lovely beauty has been busy nursing and raising a little of puppies, and not what she's seen all of them off to their forever homes, it's her turn. Dixie can be shy at first, but warms up quickly. She's most comfortable having another dog around, so it is important that her forever home has at least one dog there to keep her company too. She likes kids and lives with 7 and 8 year old kids right now who she adores. She does get a bit nervous with loud noises sometimes, so smaller toddler-aged kids might be a bit too much for her. Puppies are great and all, but think about the joys of adopting a sweet adult dog who is already past the chewing stage, knows the what's what of pottying outside, leash trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night....all the wonderful things about adopting an adult dog. If you're ready to add some love to your life, apply to adopt Dixie Lynn today at www.cprdogs.com. Dixie Lynn is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Let's all take a second to appreciate what is happening with Zeus McGoose’s ears. Seriously... they deserve their own fan club. Between those long, floppy ears, his beautiful golden-red locks, the adorable freckles sprinkled across his nose, and those perfectly expressive little forehead wrinkles, Zeus looks like he walked straight out of a storybook. He's the kind of dog that makes people stop scrolling, smile, and immediately think, "Okay... I need to know more about this guy." The good news? His personality is every bit as wonderful as his looks. Zeus is sweet, fun, easy to live with, and has that perfect balance so many people hope to find. He's playful without bouncing off the walls, affectionate without needing to be glued to your side, and happy simply being part of whatever you're doing. Whether he's carrying around one of his beloved squeaky toys, lounging in the sunshine, or hanging out with his people after a day of fun, Zeus has this easygoing charm that's incredibly easy to fall in love with. Watch his video and prepare to become obsessed with those ears: https://youtu.be/TkrTH-Je-GI?si=eXC_GPY0jrIu3d73 He is approximately 2 years old, currently weighs around 28 lbs, and we believe he may be a Cocker Spaniel mix. As with any rescue dog, breed is always a mystery and we can never guarantee exactly what he is, but whatever his breed mix may be... we think he absolutely hit the genetic jackpot. Zeus is currently fostered in a multi-dog home with several little dogs that weigh around 10-12 lbs, and he's done wonderfully with them. He's not the type that's constantly trying to wrestle or play all day long, but he definitely enjoys having little buddies to run around the backyard with. He seems perfectly content doing his own thing, joining in when he feels like it, and then settling back down again. We haven't had the opportunity to introduce him to dogs his size or larger just yet, but we'd be more than happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with a dog that has a similar temperament to yours if you'd like us to. One thing you'll quickly learn about Zeus is that this boy has priorities... and squeaky toys are very high on the list. Honestly, we're pretty convinced he can hear one from across the house. The second he hears that squeak, he's ready to investigate. He absolutely loves his toys, especially squeaky ones, and likes keeping them nearby almost like they're his emotional support buddies. Balls are another favorite, and watching him happily bounce around the yard with a toy in his mouth is guaranteed to make you smile. He's also a smart cookie. Zeus already knows how to sit, absolutely loves treats, takes them with the gentlest mouth, and genuinely enjoys learning. His foster describes him as eager to please, which makes working with him both fun and rewarding. Zeus is crate trained and does wonderfully in his crate. He's also doing really well with potty training. His foster shares that accidents in the house are very rare, and while he's still putting the finishing touches on always remembering exactly where the appropriate potty spots are, he's already built a really solid foundation. We think Zeus would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can chase toys, zoom around when the mood strikes, stretch out for an afternoon sunbath, and enjoy all the little things that make him happiest. While we haven't had the opportunity to see him with children just yet, based on everything we've learned about him so far, we think he has wonderful potential to become an incredible family dog, especially for a family with older kids that want a goofy, toy-loving companion to grow up with. At the end of the day, Zeus really isn't asking for much. A basket overflowing with squeaky toys. A backyard to enjoy. A family that loves him. Maybe a tennis ball or two. And plenty of people willing to tell him how ridiculously handsome he is, because honestly... they're probably going to be thinking it anyway. If you've been looking for a dog that's equal parts handsome, playful, sweet, and easy to live with, Zeus just might be your perfect match. We have a feeling those floppy ears are going to steal your attention first... but it's his personality that'll steal your heart. We are willing to test Zeus McGoose with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? 🚨🚨🚨🚨LOCAL PUP IN NEED🚨🚨🚨🚨 👉👉👉👉👉COURTESY POST👈👈👈👈👈 Sammy is looking for a new family! This local boy has lived in the same home for 3 years but his humans just feel he’d be better suited for a solo pup household. Sammy gets nervous and intimidated by his fellow canines, and in response reacts with growls and nips. Some kitty friends are more to this pup’s liking, but no crazy kittens please. High energy, chaos and instability are just not for Sammy. He is looking for a home that can provide him with structure, a low key household that can give him time to decompress. Sammy himself is a low energy guy that loves a good nap and day of lounging after his walks. He is house and crate trained, in addition to having basic manners and obedience inside the home. Like most hounds this boy is highly food motivated, which leads to the occasional stolen snack or garbage raid. We do know that Sammy is a Beagle/Cocker Spaniel mix weighing about 25lbs. If you think you can help this fella out email nelly1807@aol.com today. Location: Monticello, NY

Story
He has grown and so has his eagerness to find a home! Bubba boy came to us back in March. He was a fearful guy that would often give you the side eye. To this day he is not a cuddly kind of puppy. Bubba doesn’t want to be picked up or to sit on your lap. He much rather be out paling around with his canine friends. This boy is at his best and brightest around other pups. They have helped him ease into many things such as crate and leash training. As far as his human bonding and relationship building goes it is a work in progress. He has come far with his foster family, but there is a chance he will regress in a new environment. There is a very real chance Bubba will take weeks if not months to bond with his new humans. He needs a family that is patient and understands Bubba will not be your typical puppy experience. At this time Bubba is 6 month old, 15lbs and his DNA test has him as a Chihuahua/Cocker Spaniel/Mini Poodle mix. If you think you could be this boy’s forever family email Jonesm4318@gmail.com today!
